God calls us to sing a new song that reflects His ongoing work in our lives, not just to dwell on past experiences but to declare His glory in the present. When you sing a new song, you are testifying to what God is doing right now, reminding yourself and others that He is still active, still mighty, and still worthy of praise. This act of singing is not limited to those with musical talent; it is a spiritual declaration that transcends ability and tradition. Let your spirit be stirred to worship God afresh, recognizing that your praise is a living testimony of His faithfulness, power, and love in every season. [46:25]
Psalm 96:1-3 (ESV)
Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!
Reflection: What is one new way you can express your gratitude to God today that reflects what He is doing in your life right now?
In a world full of pressures to idolize people, power, or material things, God alone is worthy of worship and ultimate authority in your life. The temptation to give your allegiance to other "masters"—whether they are leaders, relationships, or even your own emotions—is real, but you are called to boldly proclaim the uniqueness and superiority of God. No person or thing should occupy the throne of your heart, for only God is truly almighty, present everywhere, and deserving of your praise. Stand firm in your faith, refusing to let anything or anyone else dictate your worth or your worship. [56:46]
Psalm 96:4-6 (ESV)
For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Reflection: Is there anything or anyone in your life that you have allowed to take a place of authority or influence that belongs only to God? How can you intentionally put God back at the center today?
Everything you have—your praise, your resources, your talents—comes from God, and He invites you to return these gifts to Him as an act of worship and gratitude. When you give God praise, an offering, or your time, you are simply returning what He has already entrusted to you, acknowledging Him as the true Master and Provider. This act of giving is not about obligation but about recognizing God's ownership and responding with a generous heart. Let your giving—whether in worship, service, or resources—be a joyful declaration that God is your source and sustainer. [58:18]
Psalm 96:7-9 (ESV)
Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!
Reflection: What is one specific thing God has given you that you can intentionally offer back to Him today, whether through praise, generosity, or service?
No matter if you are feeling barren, broken, or blessed, God calls you to sing and worship Him in every circumstance. Worship is not reserved for moments of abundance or joy; it is a powerful act of faith in times of emptiness and pain as well. When you choose to praise God in your trials, you are declaring your trust in His character and His promises, inviting His presence into your situation. Let your worship be a weapon and a witness, reminding yourself and others that God is faithful and able to bring you through every season. [49:15]
James 5:13 (ESV)
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.
Reflection: In what area of your life do you feel barren or broken right now, and how can you choose to worship God in the midst of it today?
No matter what battles you face—whether they are financial, relational, or emotional—the ultimate victory belongs to God, and He invites you to trust Him for the outcome. The power is not in your own name or strength, but in the mighty name of Jesus, who never fails and always triumphs. When you declare that the battle belongs to the Lord, you are choosing faith over fear, confidence over doubt, and hope over despair. Stand firm, knowing how the story ends: God will see you through, and all things will work together for your good. [01:05:09]
Romans 8:28 (ESV)
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Reflection: What is one battle you are facing right now that you need to surrender to God, trusting Him for the victory instead of trying to fight it in your own strength?
So many of us can remember the days when a certain song would come on and we’d immediately say, “That’s my jam!”—whether it was at the club, in the car, or at a party. We knew every word, every beat, and it would move us to action. But as we grow older, our tolerance for drama fades, and our priorities shift. The question arises: do we have that same passion and familiarity when it comes to our faith? Do we have a “jam” in our spirit—a song of faith that stirs us, that we know by heart, that reminds us of who God is and what He’s done?
The Psalms are a collection of sacred songs and prayers, many written by David, that reflect the struggles, victories, and faithfulness of God throughout history. These songs weren’t just for entertainment; they were declarations of God’s power, reminders of His deliverance, and testimonies of His ongoing work. Our parents and grandparents often didn’t need music or a band to worship—they had songs in their souls that carried them through. Their faith was strengthened by these spiritual “jams” that spoke of God’s goodness, regardless of their circumstances.
We are called to sing a new song—not just to remember what God has done in the past, but to declare what He is doing right now. Whether we are barren, broken, or blessed, we are invited to sing. Singing isn’t reserved for those who can hold a note; it’s a spiritual act of declaring God’s glory, even in the face of pressure from a world that worships idols—whether those idols are people, power, or possessions.
God alone is our Jehovah, our Almighty, our Master. We are not to give that place to anyone or anything else—not to relationships, not to money, not to our emotions. When we give God praise, when we bring Him our offerings, we are simply returning to Him what He has already given us. Life will try to convince us that it is in control, but we must boldly declare that God is the true Master. Our “jam” should be a song of victory, a declaration that the battle belongs to the Lord, and that we know how the story ends—God wins, and so do we in Him.
Psalm 96:1-9 (ESV) — > 1 Oh sing to the Lord a new song;
> sing to the Lord, all the earth!
> 2 Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
> tell of his salvation from day to day.
> 3 Declare his glory among the nations,
> his marvelous works among all the peoples!
> 4 For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
> he is to be feared above all gods.
> 5 For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols,
> but the Lord made the heavens.
> 6 Splendor and majesty are before him;
> strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
> 7 Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
> ascribe to the Lord glory and strength!
> 8 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
> bring an offering, and come into his courts!
> 9 Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness;
> tremble before him, all the earth!
Psalm 135:3 (ESV) — > Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good;
> sing to his name, for it is pleasant!
James 5:13 (ESV) — > Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.
``But I like this, and I'm getting ahead of myself because it says, write a new song. Y' all missed that. See, some of you singing old songs that don't represent who God is. You're singing what God was. But God says, I need you to sing a new song to represent who I am in this present day. [00:46:25] (20 seconds) #SingANewSongToday
But these are characteristic of an individual that wants to be worshiped. They want the power and they want the praise. But they ain't realized that we already got a king, we already got a Lord, we already got an individual, and you will not be worshiped. Why? Because you ain't my king, you ain't my lord, and you ain't my final authority. [00:53:59] (25 seconds) #NewSpiritMusic
Which means whatever it is that you have, you give. Why are you giving? Because he is the master, meaning he owns it. Anyway. So when he says, give, all I want you to do is give me back what I already gave you. So he sits there and says, all I need you to do is give me back what I already gave you. Hold on. Give me back what I already gave you. That means I already gave you praise. [00:58:36] (33 seconds) #UnitedInPrayerSupport
So he's saying, if I'm giving you praise, the least you can do is give me praise back. If I'm already giving you money, the least you can do is give me a percentage of that back. If I am giving you stuff, the least you can do is just give it back to me. Why? Because it is an indicator that he's the master. Come on. [00:59:54] (36 seconds)
And some of you are allowing life, money, relationships to ask you who the master? And what you need to say is, you not the master. I already got a master, and it is Jesus Christ. You ain't the master. You ain't. God already got somebody occupying the space. Life. Life. Life. Yes. I'm saying on purpose. Life, dear brothers and sisters, is trying to get you to admit that it's in charge. Your emotions is trying to get you to admit that it's in charge. Your feelings is trying to get you to admit that it's in charge. And it ain't. You gotta master it and say, I control you. You don't control me because God controls me. [01:01:34] (52 seconds)
Now, I'm not saying that you can't listen to it, but when you say something is your jam, you're saying that that thing has control. Meaning you tell everybody to be quiet. My song is on. And what I am again, please understand. I'm not saying not to listen to secular music because trust me, your boy listen to second music. But watch this. Secular music ain't my jam, it ain't my master, it ain't my Jehovah, it ain't my Almighty. Why? Because I can turn it off. [01:02:59] (43 seconds)
Because it said, write a new song. And dear brothers and sisters, you have to write new music for your spirit. Come on. The reason why I chose this song as our jam to close this service is because of the words to the song. It says this. The weapon may be formed, but it won't prosper. When the darkness falls, it won't prevail because. Watch this. The God I serve knows only how to triumph. My God will never fail. Oh, my God will never fail. [01:04:10] (40 seconds)
