But she did a great job talking with us about the gift of grace and man, really how it enlarges our hearts. When we receive this gift of grace, it should be enlarging our heart. It should be making our hearts bigger and bigger, not just towards God, but also towards his people. I'm a firm believer that you can say you love God all you want, but I think that's modeled. [00:173:58]

I think it's one thing to say we love God. I'm not sure how we can say we love God who we can't see and not demonstrate that to the people who he created that we can see. Come on, somebody. So I think it's a great model of us when we have a huge heart for God is when we love others. [00:203:88]

And if you don't know the movie, really what happens is a big family gets together for Christmas and they're getting ready to take a trip the next day. And they're all gathered together having, you know, the family dinner at night. And I think it's pizza. I know it's pizza. And they're, you know, fight breaks out. Kevin gets mad and he wants to go home. [00:350:92] (20 seconds)

I want to make my own decisions, don't tell me what to do, I'm a grown man, I'll do what I want to do. And I think all of us, at the core of us, if we're not careful and if we're not checking our heart on a consistent basis, can get to a very similar place. Maybe you've been to that place in your life. [00:890:81]

And again, it can be from hurt. It can be from letdown. It can be for a number of reasons that all of us, I believe, get to a place where we don't want to be with anyone in our lives. We would be better off alone. I don't need anyone telling me what to do. I just want to do my own thing. I just want to be free and make my own decisions. [00:952:89] (20 seconds)

We do when we step out from the cover of him in our lives and his lordship in our lives. How does this happen? I think one of the greatest ways it happens is when we follow our heart. I think it's one of the worst. I think I'm sure. I'm sure that's probably an American slogan. Hey, just follow your heart. [00:990:39] (20 seconds)

And again, an evil heart can lead us all kinds of different ways. An evil heart, and that doesn't mean where you're just necessarily doing these super, what we would consider bad sins, bad things. It just means where we have a heart that's like, no, God, I'm good. Like, I know I just got challenged on this last week. [00:1051:25]

You can be saved on your way to heaven, listen, and still be out of fellowship with him. We are not with him on a daily basis where he's not guiding your heart. You're, you're, you're on your own. You're, you're saying, I can do this on my own, which is really saying, God, I can do it better than you. [00:1139:40] (19 seconds)

We need to be people who are connected. We need to be people who are not trying to do our own thing and be all alone. The second thing I found in this scripture is that alone can seem fun at first, can't it? Boy, when we're doing our own thing, come on, somebody. It can seem fun at first. [00:1207:55] (18 seconds)

I mean, you got good money, and you're going to do whatever you want and just live it however you want. I'm sure there is an illusion, come on, of a lot of fun. And I want you to check out, though, because... When Kevin first finds out that his family's gone, and that his wish came true, he's all about having fun, boy. [00:1245:83] (24 seconds)

And no matter how far away you feel today, look at me, somebody in the room. No matter how far you feel away today, your father is waiting with open arms, ready to throw you a party. Heads bowed and eyes closed. [00:2216:41] (20 seconds)
