#ValueBeyondTemporary
“``If your treasure is health, sickness will frighten you, young adults and young people and older people. If your treasure is beauty, just wait until you get older. That that tattoo that has a happy face turns into a sad face. If your treasure is approval, then criticism will crush you and control you. If your treasure is your own goodness, every sin will leave you wondering if God will still love you.”

#JesusPaidItAll
“The thing is that the greatest treasure on all this world, in all creation has come to get you. Jesus left his throne, his place up there to come to rescue you. The king of kings, the lord of lords, the beginning and the end, the alpha and the omega, he purchased your salvation not with silver, not with gold, but with blood. Now is your is your good intentions, is your way of doing things good, is it more precious than the blood of Christ? Never. Never. That's why he came, because that gift that he wanted to give can only come from a bigger treasure, and that's him himself.”

#GodHoldsYou
“But this is the thing. This is what I'm getting to hear. Your neighbors your your sin is slippery thing. Your sin is slippery thing. And sometimes when we see our sin, it's hard to know that god will hold us through this through that. You think he's gonna let you go because of your performance, but he doesn't have slippery hands. In fact, he has a hole you can anchor on. He has you, and he will never let you go. You can be in the worst place, and he will not let you go like my wife did to me. And that's beautiful to know because you will face those times. It's not if, it's when you face those times, you need to be reminded that he will never let you go.”

#TreasureInChrist
“We could endure suffering without losing hope if god if we know that god loves us. We could even face death with confidence if we know that we are his treasure because our treasure is not found in in this world. It is found in Christ only. So next time that the world asks you what makes you valuable, what are you gonna say? Don't point to a resume. Don't point to your accomplishments. Or what makes me valuable? This.”

#ValueGivenNotEarned
“And if you look at at the passage, it's because he is the light of the world that we need to expose the light into our darkness, which is in our heart. It's a darkened heart. God doesn't tell us to discover our value within ourselves. He gives it to us. Your value is not something you do, and it's not something you have left undone. It's something he gives you.”

#TreasuresBecomeMasters
“Here's the problem. Whatever becomes your treasure eventually becomes your master. You you know how hard it is to keep something that is valuable? When I go to Colombia, I gotta take this off when I go to certain areas. I better put put it right here. Because if they see what's valuable, guess where they're gonna go? Hey. If you don't give it up, we're gonna cut their hand off. We spend a lot of time trying to keep safe as valuable. I mean, how many of us have used the identity theft security thing that we have now? We pay companies to keep us safe from, cyber attacks.”

#BewareWorldlyTreasure
“This is one thing that comes to my mind right now. Do you know what made my sister valuable? This. She was tall. She was beautiful. She was the queen of Medellin. And her value, her treasure killed her. And now she's with the Lord. careful what you treasure in your life because it will make you slave to death. Point to the cross always, And in there, you will see a savior, your treasure. What makes you valuable? Jesus, the father, son, and the holy spirit. Amen?”

#GraceNotPerformance
“Who loves you? Who loves you? God. Tell the person next to you, God loves you. Yeah. Louis Taylor. Tell Louis. I I think we need to be reminded of that. And and your value does not come from what you do. That's the thing. He's just God. God is what? God is what? And love is God. He just loves you. He doesn't give you an explanation. He's just that's who he is. Your identity begins not with your performance. It begins with grace. We're we're singing about that. So it begins with grace. Grace alone. That's what we believe. Then Paul moves into another beautiful way to put it in Romans eight. He doesn't say your faith is strong enough, then Jesus can hold you.”

#HiddenTreasureIsGrace
“This is the greatest surprise in the gospel, and and we can misinterpret like I did for many years that the parable of the hidden treasure. I think if I was to misinterpret that parable is to tell you, go sell everything you have, and if you don't sell that, you're not worthy to follow Christ. So, can you somebody bring a basket here so we can do an offering here real quick? What would you put in the offering? I'm sure you will not put your treasure. I'm sure you will not put your treasure there. And that's not what Jesus is saying.”

#TrustOverUnderstanding
“And and here, yes, we will find that. In the world, you'll find the promise. And that's what God wants us to know that that, you know, nothing can even even our ignorance in theology, even my own ignorance, there are things of theology that I don't understand. He died for that. He doesn't need me to figure things out. He just needs me to trust in him. Even that trust has been given to me because I doubt. He calls me his child. He calls you his treasure possession like he did in Deuteronomy.”
51s
#IdentityWithoutPerformance
“If you treasure, like, how good you are, how holy you are, then when you do something bad, you're gonna wonder, I did I ask Jesus into my life? Do I need to do it again? There is always the doubt. That's why today's reading brings so much peace and good news to us. God doesn't tell us to discover our own value. The culture will what's good within you. Look in your heart. And I wonder why Jesus is called the light of the world.”
55s
#WorthIsNotAchievement
“And and I think we go to this dream. Sometimes we feel like we get popped up, like, we are worth a big treasure. And look at me, myself and I. And sometimes we feel like we are not worthy enough. Like, we cannot even see each other. Like we go to the streams and so then it's not meeting well. Even Christians can fall into the trap of that thinking. If I pray enough, if if I serve enough, if I if I'm if my faith is strong enough, then I'll I'll be someone. Then God will look at me and be pleased with me. truth is we are always looking for something to tell us we have value.”

#WorldLiesAboutWorth
“And I think it goes like this. I have read enough books to give you a summary of what most of the whole world tells you. Oh, you can ask Chargebeepty or Cloud or Jiminy AI, and it will tell you what the world will ask or owes. If you achieve enough, you will matter. If you achieve enough, you will matter. If people admire you, you will be valuable. If you have enough money, you will have enough influence. You can control the church too. It happens in some church. If you have enough followers, you can have enough independence.”
44s
#ActionsRevealTreasure
“And what brings you value? What brings you value is your worth. Sometimes we let that fool us. Sometimes we think our worth makes us valuable. And there's another thing. What should you treasure? What do you treasure the most in your life? Whether we are admitted or not, every one of us is answering that question every day of our lives. It may not be an answer with our lips, but it can be with our actions. And the world we live in certainly has an answer for those questions.”
59s
#CommunityIsGodsTreasure
“Brothers and sisters, imagine how different our world would be if we truly believe that, that you are the treasure possession. Bless you. If you're here, I want you to look around. Look around. Look around. Look at look at all the unique faces and the weird faces you're gonna meet in heaven. And and and if you realize that this is your people, that these are the people, the treasure possession of God, why would do we talk bad about them? Why do we complain? Why do we whine? If we have victory, why? We are the only people that had the victory, had the biggest treasure, and still complain.”
46s
#WhyDoesGodLoveMe
“And in trying to ask God, well, make give me the logical explanations of this. You know, I've been I've been in in different ways of theology. I've been in a reform role in the Baptist, and and you have Presbyterians and all these. I've been in those theological backgrounds. And the thing that got me off all of them is this. Why does God love me? Why does God love you? And you might be beautiful, and you might be beautiful and all, but I'm sure that there are times that you can ask yourself, why did I do that?”
41s
#CommunionIsReal
“He speaks to you through this word right here that we have here. He feeds you with his own body and blood. You know, I have a lot of friends that that don't believe in this. That they say, well, I don't know about this. I don't know about I think it's a remembrance. I think it's a symbolic. Do you think that's symbolic? So how you distinguish between symbolism and reality? If that's symbolic, maybe your salvation is symbolic, and that's it.”
55s
#ChosenByLove
“Then you feel a failure. Why does God loves you? And and you know what gets me? When when you were reading, Jim, about Romans, all things were forgiven for those who love me. All things? What about my sin? When I'm facing my sin, that is bad. And you might say, well, because you are Colombian. No. I know I know you have skeletons in your closet. Right? I know. I know I know Jim has some of those. Right? And I don't wanna say your names over there. Jim, just admit it. Do you notice that God doesn't say I chose, doesn't say I chose you because you were impressive or because you most you are the most beautiful or because you you got it all figured out. I chose you because I love you.”
56s
#WorthBeyondRoles
“A teenager, teenagers, if people like me enough, then I'd be someone. An adult says, if I get the right job, right, if I make enough money to retire and I can succeed, then I'm someone. Maybe if if I get the right job so I can work remote nowadays. Parents often think, if my children turn now the way I raised them to be, because you think you raised them perfectly. Retired people sometimes wonder, now that I'm retired, am I worth anything?”
46s
#JesusIsReal
“And nothing else matters. You know, like Metallica. Nothing else matters. But that's not symbolic. That's nourishment. That's promise. That's the strength. Because Jesus was not symbolic. He was a reality. He was truly man and truly God. If it wasn't so, you think the disciples will be hanged? Will we march for for for that? No. Nobody dies for a symbolic thing. They die for our reality.”
