Think about our fallen soldiers and the places they had to fight in the beaches and the boats they had to get out of and climbing hills and mountains and all the different terrain and harsh conditions, the courage and the heart it takes to do those things. Then I think about Jesus and all that he went through. Jesus left heaven and stepped into enemy territory for you and for me. He entered our pain and our brokenness and our suffering and our death sentence. Not because he had to, but because love compelled him to fight for us. This might offend somebody, and maybe it needs to offend somebody, but the church has been sitting on the sidelines for far too long, worried about hurting people's feelings, not standing up for the word of God, what it says. And we wonder, how did we get here as a country? How did we get here as a culture? I'm here to tell you this morning. Because when you give the enemy an inch, he'll take a mile. Here's the thing today. If you are here and you're a believer in Christ, maybe you're young in your faith or if you're mature in your faith, you need to know this. Listen to this. The back of the book is important. The back of the book tells us what's going to happen. Come on, somebody. Can I tell you not only did Jesus defeat the enemy on the cross when he was when he died and when he was buried and when he was resurrected, but guess what happens at the end of the book? God wins. And if he wins, we win. [01:25:29] (45 seconds)  #GodWinsWeWin Download clip

Some of you parents, grandparents, you are literally using every bit of your life and energy and power and strength. You are laying it down for the people around you, for your family. You're making all the sacrifices just like a fallen soldier who's remembering, who we're remembering, and we're honoring today. Can I tell you something church? We also need to remember our parents and grandparents who have stepped up to lead and to take care of a generation, to take care of children, to teach them the gospel, to be a positive influence in their life because they are also fighting a battle that's just as important. Can I get an amen right there? [01:04:55] (45 seconds)  #HonorFamilySacrifice Download clip

The greatest tragedy is not losing a battle. It's quitting the fight. The enemy wants tired believers and silent churches and passive Christians distracted families. Can I be honest with you right now? There's a lot of churches who are not even in the fight. There's a lot of believers who are not even in the fight. We have something to fight for. Why aren't you fighting? [01:21:12] (35 seconds)  #DontQuitTheFight Download clip

But we're talking about something worth fighting for. Let me tell you this. When I fell in love with my wife, I didn't care if it was a female or male. If you hurt her feelings, I was ready to go to war for her. And then it got worse when I became a father. When I became a dad, and I held that baby girl in my hands, man, I didn't care what was coming up in the future. If someone was gonna mess with her, I was gonna go to a whole another level to fight for her. Can I get an amen right there? Amen. [01:12:32] (39 seconds)  #FightForLovedOnes Download clip

Look at your spouse. Look at your children, your grandchildren. They are worth fighting for. Can I tell you something? Jesus could see you and me while he was on the cross, and he knew we were worth fighting for and worth dying for. Freedom isn't free. Political freedom costs something. Spiritual freedom costs Jesus everything. [01:14:16] (28 seconds)  #FreedomIsNotFree Download clip

A friend of mine was telling me here recently how they feel so called to do something special for God. And ever since that conversation, a lot of things in their life started going wrong and getting harder and trials, storms. It's because when we realize our calling in God, we become a target for the enemy. He doesn't want us to make the impact that God wants us to make, that God created us to make.
