#FeedTheHungry
“``Send them away, they say to Jesus. Isn't this true of us today? We see the need. We feel compassion, but we feel powerless to help so many. The task seems beyond our means, our abilities. Send them away. Take it out of our sight. Let someone else who is better equipped deal with them. Jesus says, no. You feed them. The disciples want the need to go away, while Jesus draws nearer to it.”

#BringWhatYouHave
“We have nothing, saith the disciples. We have only five loaves and two fish. Bring them to me, says Jesus, because the disciples do have something, and Jesus can turn it into something more. But he can't do it without them. He can't do it without what they give of themselves. The 5,000 can't be fed until they give up their five loaves and two fish.”

#SmallGiftsBigDifference
“The 5,000 can't be fed until they give up their five loaves and two fish. And, again, this is how it is with us today. So many people in need. There are so many needs, and we feel overwhelmed, powerless to help and say, send them away. Let someone else help them. You help. Now I can't feed 5,000 people, but I could probably feed two, three, so could each one of you.”
