#TruthRemains
“And don't assume then that rejection means the truth has failed. Remember, at the same time, this is what's so fascinating. People had just heard that same sermon, 5,000 people get saved. The other group hears the same sermon and goes, I would prefer to lock them up, but we can't do that. Same sermon. The man is still standing there. The gospel is still true and Jesus was still risen whether you believed or not.”

#SpeakAndTrust
“You see how that works? So don't think sometimes if I just had better words or if I just had all the answers, I want you to rest. You could have all of that and it's still not change a single person. At some point, you have to open your mouth, be bold about what you know, what you've witnessed, what you testified, what Jesus has done for you, and then pray and trust the Holy Spirit to do the work that no man can do.”

#NotLookingForGod
“This tells us something important about unbelief. I love what CS Lewis said. This is great. I don't have it on the screen. This is a last minute edition, but I wanted to put it in here. CS Lewis put it this way. The atheist can't find God for the same reason a thief can't find a policeman. Now why can't a thief find a policeman? He's not looking for them. In fact, he's avoiding them.”

#OrdinaryMadeBold
“The risen Christ doesn't just send the bold. He takes the trembling, the failed, the unlettered, and he makes them his voice in the world, whether you like it or not. He takes ordinary people and makes them bold. He takes fearful disciples and gives them his spirit. He takes those who once failed and restores them for his mission, and Peter is the proof.”
