#FavorOverLogic
“But god's blessings often ignore human logic or fairness. He is not confined to our human limitations. Our logical expectations are not always his divine proclamations. Remember Elisha's iron axe head that floated in water or Joshua's son that stood still? The Jericho Jericho walls that fell, not with battering rams, but with praise. Moses' Red Sea was split by a rod. Water came out of a rock in the desert. Ravens bought Elijah a meal. Three Hebrew young men walked in a fiery furnace and were not burned. And let's not forget Ezekiel's resurrected dry bones. I know it's not grammatically correct, but favor ain't fair. It's a gift.”

#FavorIsTheMasterKey
“Oh, look at sister Esther, an orphan girl, hidden in obscurity with no raw pedigree. By human logic, she should have been overlooked. But God gave her favor with the king, and she saved her people from destruction. Logic says doors stay locked unless you have the right credentials. But favor is the master key that open doors that no resume, no degree, no status could ever ever unlock. Church favor ain't fair.”

#FavorBreaksBarriers
“Just like Joseph in the pit, Daniel in exile, Esther in the palace. Her story reminds us when god decides to favor you, no barrier, no person, no no lie, no demon in hell can block your blessing. Amen. Amen. I'm telling you when man says failure, god says favor. When man says impossible, god says inevitable. When man says blocked, god says blessed. Favor ain't fair because god's sovereignty secures success beyond human effort.”

#TestToTestimony
“Now I gotta be a little more careful. See, too often we think favor means life would be easy, smooth, and problem free. But the truth is favor shows up most clearly when you're in the fire, when you're in the flood, when you're in the fight. Favor is not the removal of struggle. It is a sustaining strength of god in the midst of our struggle. So, you don't really know about favor till you have a test. Yeah. You don't have a testimony till you have a test and you go through the test. Yeah.”

#ChosenFromTheUnexpected
“Moses, the reluctant redeemer, was a displaced outcast, a dangerous murderer, and a diff and a defiant, no doubt stutterer, but god showed him favor. Elijah, the exhausted escapee, was drained, depleted, and distressed, but god showed him favor. Gideon, the fearful warrior, was doubtful, disheartened, and discouraged, but god showed him favor. David, the overlooked outlier, was the youngest, the smallest, and the weakest, but god showed him favor. Rahab was a prostitute. She was disgraced, despised, and defiled, but god showed her favor. Yeah. Matthew, the tax collector, was despised and detested by the Jews, but god showed him favor. Peter was impulsive, inconsistent, and insecure, but god showed him favor. Paul, a Christian killer, was violent, vindictive, but god showed him favor. Is there anybody in here that god has shown you favor?”

#RefinedNotRuined
“Oh, think about. Do you remember Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah? Yes. They walked in a fiery furnace. Logic says flames should've consumed them, but favor says flames couldn't even touch them. Remember, they walked out without the smell of smoke. The hair won't even singed. The clothes won't burn. Have you ever been through something and you look better than what you've been through? Oh, somebody ought to ought to give god praise right there. You look better than the things you've been through. People were looking for you to come out all beat up, out of your mind, hair done turned gray, and and you you limp in your door, and you come out looking better than when you went in.”

#GodKeepsYouAfloat
“God will prepare you to be blessed. You know, look at Noah. Noah endured the flood. For over a year, he floated on waters that destroyed the Earth. The thing that destroyed the Earth, Noah was floating on it. You've been through some stuff that other people lost their minds. Other people committed suicide. God allowed you to walk right through it. Logic says that Noah should've drowned, but favor kept him afloat.”

#FavorAintFair
“Still, we like things to be logical, to make sense. Yet we search the scriptures. We discover that god's blessings often break open our box of human logic. Iron floats. The sun stands still. Walls fall with worship. Seas split. Rocks pour water. Birds deliver meals. I wanna say that was the first DoorDash. Fire fails to burn, and bones rise to life. I'm telling you, favor ain't fair. It's sovereign. And when god makes a choice, he chooses against human expectation. Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Esther, Daniel, none of them fits the world's standard, but all of them fits god's sovereign plan. And if you have not guessed it by now, the subject of today's sermon is favor ain't fair.”

#GodWillFinishWhatHeStarts
“Has god ever let anybody down in here? Has god ever walked away from you when you at the hardest point of your test? You may think he did but he was there all the time waiting on you to turn to him. So if you're standing today in the middle of a flood, remember Noah. God will keep you afloat. If you're facing a pharaoh, remember Moses. God will give you authority. If you're staring down a giant, remember David. God will give you victory. Oh, and if you're walking through the fight, remember the three Hebrew young men. God will walk with you. If you start, if god started it, he'll finish it for he is god.”

#FromDryBonesToLife
“Only living on god's mercy and his grace to give us another chance. But when the word pricked our heart and we gave our lives to the lord, that was our dry bones coming to life And god started adding tendons and muscles and nerves and veins and skin and all the things that we needed. That was god added his attributes to us. See, it's more than a nice story in the Bible. It's representative of of us. Now you're no longer a dry bone. Now you got life through the holy ghost. And now that you have life, not only do you have grace and mercy, you got favor.”
35s
#LivingTestimony
“If he's ever healed you, you are a living testimony. If you ever bought you out of the fire, out of the flood, out of the fight, You're a living testimony, and your faith should not be shaken by the first little wind that blow. Y'all better look yourself in the mirrors. I've been through something tougher than this. You know, god god brought me through something that was much tougher than what I'm dealing with now. I know he got me now.”

#PreparedForTheBlessing
“He can speak to the wind and the sea. In other words, he can speak to your situation. Yes. He can. He can give you the strength to go through your situation because god don't always take you out. See, favor doesn't mean he's going to take you out. Sometimes, favor means you gotta go through. Well, how is that favor? Because god is preparing you. Some people will say, he's preparing you for the storm that's out there coming and that can be true. But I like to think on the positive side. He's preparing you for the blessing that's coming. Yes.”
45s
#FavorIsAGift
“didn't earn it? You didn't even deserve it? People cast you aside. People talked about you behind your back. But god showed you favor. And there's hope for all of us because it's clear. God's favor bypasses the obvious and chooses the overlooked. God's favor also secures success. Oh, anybody wanna be successful in life? Favor is not earned. It's granted. Yeah. You can't buy it. You can't bargain for it. Yep. You can't boast about it. Favor is the sovereign gift of god.”

#GodInTheStorm
“God's favor sustains in struggles. Favor doesn't mean the absence of trials. It means the presence of god in trials. Did you get that? Favor doesn't mean you won't have problems. Favor doesn't mean testing time won't come. Favor doesn't mean you won't be lied on. Favor doesn't mean they won't put the knife in your back and smile in your face all the time wanting to take your place. Favor doesn't mean that your name would be up in lights. Favor doesn't mean that the church will always recognize your good work and give you an offering and and the pastor will have you eat dinner over at the house. That that that isn't what favor means. Favor means that in the middle of your trials, in the middle of your test, god's presence is still there with you. You in the storm, but god's in the storm with you. You're on the boat that's being tossed by the wind and by the sea, but yet Jesus is on the boat. Don't you know the boat can't sink as long as Jesus is on board? Yes.”

#RevivedByGrace
“That's when you really need to know that you cannot be separated from the love of god. When you've been hurt, when you've been down, so long. But Jesus came and picked you up. Thank you, father. He saw you in your own blood. Yes, lord. Drowning. But he picked you up and revived you. Thank you, Jesus. You know, one of the things about the prophets preaching to the dry bones is that that were representative of us. Yes. I know we like to think it was a nice story in the Bible. That shows god's power. Don't you know we were the dry bones? When we were in sin, dried up in sin, thinking, believing. We were having a good time all the time. Our soul was drying up. Dried up to god's word. Dried up to the holy ghost. Dried up to favor. Just dried up.”

#GuardYourHeart
“doesn't mean that the devil won't try. As as said in the book of Genesis, sin crouches at the door. It's always there. It's always waiting. And the devil don't need you to open the door wide. He just needs a crack in the window, door, in the wall. Because it always doesn't start big. Sometimes it starts small. Yeah. Well, you skip prayer this morning. No big deal. I'll pray later. Oh, you decided you just, you know, didn't feel like church. I'll just skip it. You know, I need this month off. Children going back to school. I need this month off. You don't even have a child going to school. Why you need the month off?”

#GodsFavorWins
“Look at Moses. He faced pharaoh, the most powerful ruler of his time. Logic says a fugitive shepherd showing up as a convicted felon because remember, he murdered somebody and he ran. He was also an illegal immigrant because Egypt was never really his home even though he was raised there. He should have never been able to confront pharaoh, But favor gave him authority to walk in and demand that god said, let my people go. How many know that was favor? That was favor. Look at David. He fought a giant. Logic says a boy with a slingshot and a single stone could never defeat a nine foot tall warrior with a sword. Remember, Goliath was a man of war. He was experienced in war. David probably just looked like a little ant to him. god's favor guided the stone and guaranteed victory for a shepherd boy.”

#BeyondHumanLogic
“Now most of us as human beings, we like for things to be logical. You know, we want them to make sense to us. We put our trust in our logical minds. For example, we like things orderly as I know I certainly do. If the sun rises in the East, we expect it to set in the West. We like things fair. If a candidate is the most qualified, he or she should win. We understand input and output. If we plant a seed, we expect the harvest. If we expect balance, for if we invest, we should profit. If we study, we should learn and pass. We like the predictable. If we put a pot of water on the stove, we expect it to boil at 212 degrees. Human logic is like a box into which we place our expectations, and we expect that what comes out of that box will measure up to our human standards. Things like age, status, skill, or fairness.”
68s
#DontChaseApproval
“You're not relying on man because you find out manna put you down. See, most people, as long as you can do something for them, you their friend. Yeah. You their buddy. On. As long as I can get something out of you. As long as you do what I tell you to do, when I tell you to do it. When I say jump, you don't even ask me how high. You just jump. And you don't stop till I get tired. That's most folks. But see, after god save you from sin, you gotta ask god to save you from folks. Stop worrying about what they think about you. Stop worrying about what they said about you. Let me tell you, they talked about Jesus. Sure enough, they going to talk about you. Yes, sir. And everything they say will not be favorable. In fact, the word of god says, woe to him when all men speak favorably of him. If everybody's speaking well of you, you better check yourself and see where you stand with god.”
71s
#FavorThroughBetrayal
“Because when you stand with god, somebody will stand against you and understand, yes, the devil is a demon. Yes, the devil have imps, Little demons running around. But don't you know the devil will use people? Yeah. He'll use folks. He'll use people that will call themselves your friend. He'll use people that'll tell you I got your back. You can trust me. Anybody ever been betrayed? By somebody you thought had your back? Somebody you went all out of your way for would give your last. And when you needed them, that was the one that was putting all the stumbling blocks in your way. That was the one that was scandalizing your name. That was the one that broke your heart. Oh, you you don't have to admit it. I know you're saved, and I know you're tough, and, you know, you're walking in favor, but you hurt. That's when you really need god's favor.”
