“``Living things need the right environment. They need nurturing. They need care. But the most important aspect of this is that they need a plan. Coach, you got a plan for your boys? You know where they need to go and how you're gonna get them there. Sometimes that's not gonna work. You need to adjust the plan. Sometimes, you thought that you knew, but you didn't, and you have to adjust the plan. We have to be adaptable. there is a space, a place, a goal in mind for where we are going to go, and if we do not have a pattern, a plan, a method for how to get there, then we will not get there, will we? This is the goal, Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. To be mature Christian adults. This is what we are supposed to do, and that sounds great, but we do have to deal with the how exactly we do this.”

“And this is what I wanna communicate first this morning. Fathers, I need you I need you to hear me say this. Alright? essential. In order to produce what God wants and what is good and profitable and healthy and holy, your role, fathers, is essential. For God's goodness, for God's holiness, your role is essential. Otherwise, it would not be here in the code. It would not be something written down to be necessary to produce something that is good, and I need you to know that God made you for this role.”

“Look, God has not left himself without witness. God has not left himself where he is not able to give us exactly what we need to do in order to make this happen. Raise them up, bring them up, have a plan, get to the goal, raise them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. We don't have to flounder and try to say, how exactly do I do this and just give up. Paul says in Ephesians chapter five verse one, to be imitators of God. And do you know something special about God? He is our father, and he is the best father.”

“We wanna get rid of it. We don't know exactly how. We act out on our kids. We need to put that to bed. If you are sitting here and you're thinking, man, I am struggling with whatever it is, you know, the first step in order to heal that, to mend that, to put that to bed is to give your life to Christ. I was reminded of the gospel series that we did together when I was at Ashland City this Wednesday, that God takes, through Jesus Christ is is putting all the broken pieces of our world back together, and he's inviting you to participate in that. He can take the broken pieces that are in our fatherhood, in our parenthood, in our families, past, present, and future, and put all of that back together, but we have to let him. And this is what you have to decide. Are you actually going to let him? Will you let him be your father so that you can be the father that he needs you to be? That's all it is.”
