God first received worship as the house pressed into praise, and the Spirit laid language on the house for what was happening there: “a worshiping travail.” That travail was not grief by itself. God attached praise to pain, and that praise became strength for the push. The Spirit helped infirmity, pressed the children of God through trouble, and caused something to be birthed out of the belly.
Matthew 5 declared that God’s people were never called to be hidden, quiet, useless saints. The text called them salt and light, “bringing out the God flavors” and “God colors” in the world. Influence was not treated like a worldly platform or social media title. Influence was named as original assignment, the capacity to shift a room, change a character, touch a decision, and make somebody taste godliness by watching a life.
Genesis 1 declared the Father’s image as the original design. God created man in His image, blessed them, and gave them fruitfulness, multiplication, dominion, and purpose. The Father did not make humanity to mirror animals, society, politicians, social media, or any influence not of God. The Father made His children to carry His nature, character, authority, and purpose in the earth.
The Father’s image was shown through love before it was shown through power. John 3:16 stood as proof that God so loved that He gave. The cross became the clearest picture of the Father’s heart, because God gave Himself to come get what sin had damaged. Christ redeemed the image, and the Holy Ghost restores what sin changed, taking the children of God back to a Genesis 1:27 place.
First John declared, “Now are we the sons of God.” Sonship was not postponed until perfection, not saved for the sweet by and by, and not earned by getting everything together. The Father’s children are already His, already called sons, already heirs, and already being changed day by day. The image will finally be perfected when Christ appears, because when He is seen as He is, His children shall be like Him.
The Father’s image and blessing stayed connected. God did not create anything He did not intend to bless. Godly fathers speak blessings, cover their houses, create atmospheres where faith can grow, and leave a legacy that resembles the original. The Father’s pattern remained the map, and the root of the family tree had to trace back to the cross.

Key Takeaways
- 1. Influence is an original assignment. God did not create His people to be hidden under a bucket or reduced to private religion. Salt and light carry capacity, even when nobody calls it ministry, because a life can shift the atmosphere in a room, on a phone call, at work, or in a grocery store. Influence becomes holy when it makes somebody taste godliness instead of merely noticing personality. [18:22]
- 2. The Holy Ghost restores design. The Holy Ghost was not given merely for tongues, dance, or church expression. The Spirit comes to restore what sin has changed, bringing the children of God back to the Genesis image that the Father intended from the beginning. Real restoration reaches behavior, attitude, thought, and identity until the life starts reflecting the One who made it. [79:22]
- 3. The cross reveals the Father’s heart. The Father’s love was not first proven by miracles, signs, or wonders, but by sending Jesus. The cross shows that the Father counted His children so precious that He gave Himself to come get them. Calvary declares that damaged image is not destroyed image, because Christ knows how to take the bent up, scarred up life into the body shop and restore it. [82:24]
- 4. Image and blessing stay connected. God did not make anything He did not plan to bless. The same God who shaped humanity also spoke blessing over humanity, so blessing was attached to identity from the beginning. A godly father follows that pattern by opening his mouth, speaking life over children, covering the house, and creating space where faith can grow. [94:06]
- 5. Nothing separates God’s children. Romans 8 settles the wandering question of belonging. Tribulation, distress, persecution, lack, loneliness, and accusation cannot undo the Father’s love or change His mind. The child of God can answer the enemy with settled identity: “I’m in my Father’s image. You got the wrong one.”
