#TrustGodMoreThanSelf
“Now, Abraham said, I don't know why god's saying this but I'm still gonna move forward. Yeah. Because I've developed this in my my own personal walk with the lord in this season of my life and it's this posture that whenever god says do something, I trust god more than I trust me. Amen. I trust god more than I trust me. So, if god is telling me to do something that I don't fully understand, I'd rather see it god's way than be stuck in my way. Yeah. Because no matter what, I don't know as much as god.”

#ObedienceOverUnderstanding
“And god is saying you may not understand it, you may not know it, but all I need you to do is take a step and trust that I've got the plan in store for you because we have to allow our faith to stand on the principle that even if I don't understand what god's gonna do, I'm still following him. Even if it doesn't make sense to me in this moment, I'm still gonna do it because obedience is better than sacrifice. Amen. Amen.”

#KeepGoingWhenItDoesntMakeSense
“God has just told him to kill his only son. Yeah. This doesn't make sense. This does not match the god that came to him in chapter 12 and introduced himself to him that was different from everybody else. Now, this god is telling him to sacrifice his boy. That's what the pagan gods do. That's what the gods of the people around him do and his god supposed to be different. Yeah. Preach. But Abraham says, I don't quite understand why god is telling me to do this but I do know this much. Just because it doesn't make sense to me, it does not give me permission to stop on the journey.”

#FaithNotUnderstanding
“And god is not looking for our understanding. Bless somebody's bubble today. God is not judging us on how much we understand him. Amen. God will not look at us at in glory and say, well, you were able to figure out the secrets of the kingdom. He will not look at us and say, well, your theology understood everything I did from Genesis to Revelation. He'll look at us and just say, did you have faith? Yeah. Because without faith. Yeah. It's impossible. Amen. To please god. Amen. And Abraham understood, I don't have to understand this. I just have to trust god in it. Amen.”
