#MenGrowTogether
“``My message this morning, our message this morning is meant to encourage you as a father, as a son, not just you need to do more stuff, But it's meant to call us to where we can be, right, and where we should keep developing in who Jesus has made us to be. But it's not all on you. We have the church. We have each other. We're we're having a men's ministry that's building in this church that men need to get a part of. I want men to love to come to our church. Because you'll become more like Jesus as a man, as you are. You don't have to be something else. You be you, be your personality. But you're hungry for more of the Lord. You're hungry for Jesus. You're hungry for him working in your life, but don't do it alone.”

#AskForSpiritualGuidance
“And some of you go, I don't really know what a disciple looks like. If you don't, think of someone who you know who really loves Jesus and you connect with and you go, hey, can you teach me how you follow Jesus? How do you pray? How do you read your bible? How do you treat your spouse? How do you talk about your faith at work? How do you do this? Because here, and I'm talking to all men here. Men, we at times now I know we're known for not asking for directions. Right? We'll figure it out. We'll get there. Right? We're guys, we'll figure it out. I can watch a YouTube video, all that stuff, and that's great. But there are times when we'll call our buddy and say, hey, man. I cannot figure figure this angle out in this project I'm working on. Can you help me? Or hey, I can't fix this part on my car. Hey, can you help me with this? We'll do that with our buddies.”

#MakeDiscipleshipNormal
“But then but to go, you know what, as a man, I don't really know how to pray with my wife. You don't call your buddy and say, hey, I know you pray with your wife. Will you teach me what you do? I don't wanna be there when you do it. That's and weird. But teach me what you do. Why can't that be just as normative as asking our friend how to fix something at our house? That's what it means to model the mission, to keep being taught, to keep being discipled. So if you don't know, find somebody who you trust knows and they will help you. And if they won't help you, call them tell me and I'll call them and I'll yell at them as your pastor. Just kidding. Maybe. But for real, right? Find somebody who can invest. Find someone who will help you grow.”

#CourageToDoRight
“And specifically when it comes to courage, here's what I'm talking about too. This is for all of us. It's simply this, to do what's right even when it's hard. If I can model for my sons, model for my daughters, do what's right even when it's hard. That's courage. That makes a difference. And I've been thankful in my life to watch my kids. There's times when my kids have reached out to Juliana and said, hey, can come pick me up from this event? I just don't feel comfortable. Don't feel like this is right. And so they're in it, and they're like, no, this is wrong. And so we've gone and picked them up even though it was maybe a little bit embarrassing for them. I've seen it in my kids where they made a mistake, a legit mistake, and they've owned it, and they've had to walk through consequences of that mistake and of that sin. But they walked through it and they they confessed. They repented. I've watched my kids just simply say, hey mom or dad, please forgive me. This was wrong and I'm sorry I did that. Because we're trying to model Jalene and I are trying to model in our house what it means to be courageous, to do what's right even when it's hard.”
