“Proverbs 13 and verse 22, a good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Inheritance there might might be about money, but more than likely, inheritance there is talking about a good name, character. Those those good memories and those things, that's what a good man does. Good father is able to provide for his children's children in the in the in the best way that he can. Joseph was that man. Though we don't read any words directly of his, we know that he obeyed faithfully. He protected sacrificially. He provided diligently. And finally, number four, he prepared spiritually.”

“More importantly than what Joseph did, that earthly son that he that he helped to raise, the son of God, is the one that came to make all of us children of the father who truly matters most. And whether you have a godly father or have had one or know of some, doesn't really matter because your your your heavenly father wants you to be his child today. And if you're not a member of the lord's church today, if you haven't obeyed the gospel, all things are ready.”

“``Didn't he have to tell people? Didn't he have some family nearby that he needed to say, hey. We're gonna be gone. I don't know how long we're going to be gone for. Didn't he have to sell a house? Didn't he have some other things and arrangements? He worked as a carpenter as far as we can tell. Didn't he have some work that was needing to be finished first and then he could go? Didn't he have some plans that were coming soon that he needed? Let's get through this week and then we'll leave. No. He he doesn't do that. When he realized that his family was in danger, immediately, he left.”

“This father, who as far as the Bible is concerned, said nothing, is someone who obeyed God faithfully. And you might not be a man of many words. I'm sure we all have either fathers in our lives, our own fathers, or maybe others who are famous for saying things. Maybe you've heard, my dad used to say, or as my father used to say, and you have some kind of phrase after that. Wise words often coming from fathers. That's something we think of. You might not be someone who has great sayings. You might not be someone who has a great deal of words that he that that he says on a regular basis. However, if I am someone that obeys God faithfully the way that Joseph did, I am someone that is worthy of being followed or at least emulated in that way.”
