“``Low word, high sin. High word, low sin. You know why most people sin? Because they meditate on sin more than they do the scripture. And what you meditate on, you are destined to perform. Even when you say you don't wanna do it, but why you keep thinking about it? Why you keep listening to songs about it? Why you keep watching movies that fill with it? And then I ask you a quote scripture, and you don't have no word. You can't live what you don't know. you gotta accept the responsibility that it ain't past the job to help you memorize scripture. He can give you the scripture, but you gotta decide you wanna memorize it. When you get a job and they said, okay. These are the procedures we want you to follow in order to do your job. Your manager is not gonna come to your house every day to see whether you're gonna memorize the procedures.”

“That's a tough thing because most people, when they are overburdened and they have weighed on them, instead of learning how to come up under that, show to it, figure out how to go through this, they're gonna blame people because they got a burden. Or they're gonna try to get sympathy from people and saying, you don't understand what I'm going through. Well, whatever you're going through, guess what? God knew you're gonna go through before you ever got there. There's no temptation taking you but such as common to man, and God is faithful with every temptation to allow you a way of escape. When that thing came to you, God said, if you listen to me and open your ears, I'll show you how to deal with it. God is not gonna blindside you with life. He gonna prepare you for life, and you gotta decide whether you're gonna listen to him. If you're blindsided, it's because you weren't paying attention when the lesson was being taught.”

“But if we don't know what he promised, we'd be rehearsing the thing we we desire. We'd be rehearsing the stuff that we feel we can handle. And see, sometimes God will say, how are you desiring that when you aren't disciplined enough to handle it? So if my son was 10 years old, he probably did want a car, but I wasn't gonna give him a car at 10. Right? I have to wait till he matures. When you know his will, you put you mature yourself for the right petition. Immature people petition for wrong things, and God has no obligation to grant a petition that's not in align with your maturity. you as a natural father know better. He as a spiritual father knows better. So he's listening for your maturity.”

“God is waiting for us to speak to him, and he will hear us when we ask in accordance to his will. So is that means that it is important that you know the will of God before you start communicating with God. Well, pastor, what is his will? His word is his will. See, we make petitions of God without reading the contract. The word is the contract God has given us. We just finished the song. Says, God keeps his promises, and we gotta know what are those promises. The promises are in the word of God. And he says, you got confidence that if you ask anything according to his will, he hears us. God is listening for your petition in line with his will.”
