#IntentionalDadLove
“``A father must do more than provide a living, but he must give love, attention, and affection. Not only are you present, but you pursue a relationship. You pursue that. You're intentional about that. I heard about a man who was telling his coworker about how many soccer games he had been to, and his coworker said, man, you must really love soccer. And the dad says, no. I really don't care for it much, but I love my son. And my son loves soccer. There's something about getting invested in what others are invested in. And making sure that we're pursuing and carving out that.”

#FatherAsAnchor
“That relationship with our father will help us make it through the up and downs. We have that. So there again, a heart that's present, a heart that pursues relationship. Third thing a father's heart would do, it will impart truth. A father's greatest assignment is not merely preparing his children for success, but preparing them to know and follow god. That's the most important thing to let them know and follow him. I'm gonna tell you, I know some people who have spent all kind of money on travel teams for their kid, hoping it'll get them a ticket to the big leagues when less than 3% ever make it there and even less than that of stay. But they spend all kind of money on that pursuit because they're trying to get them to be successful. But if they haven't told them to know and follow god, they're gonna flounder.”

#FathersImpartTruth
“And he cultivated that. And let me say this, thank God he did. Because that relationship is the rock that this house is built on. And without that foundation, I'd fall flat. How many knows that there are storms in this life? Thank god that relationship can keep us anchored. I heard of a little girl one time that was riding in a plane, and they went through turbulence, and it was going up and down, and everybody was getting scared. And one little girl was just humming along, and it kinda aggravated the woman sitting beside her. She said, honey, don't you see what's going on? She said, I'm not worried. My daddy's the pilot. That relationship with our father will help us make it through the up and downs. We have that. So there again, a heart that's present, a heart that pursues relationship.”

#ChoosePresence
“A god wants followers. A father wants sons and daughters. A god relies on resources. A father relies on relationship. I'll tell you, one of the things that scares me about some churches, they're all about relay resources but do they have relationship? You got to have both. A guy that give you knowledge, fathers give wisdom. Guys tell you what to do. Fathers will go there with you. Gods are temporary. Fathers are lifelong. Gods are many. Fathers are few. We're praying that god will raise up fathers who have a heart for their children and will implement things and implement truth and impart truth, impart truth. And there again, what does a man gain if he gains the whole world but lose his own soul? Lord, let him know truth. Let him know truth.”
