``When you go racing, you should be fasting. When you go to your work, you should be fasting. You want to see that breakthrough? You want to see that direction? Do I need to hire this person? Fast. Do I need to marry this woman? Or do I need to even propose? Do I need to go out with this woman? Do you fast before you ask someone out? You should. That is a big decision. Jesus fasted before major events. Matthew 4, 1 through 2. You see that before Jesus began His public ministry, He fasted for 40 days. He went out and fasted for 40 days before the power, the Holy Spirit, flowed publicly. He went out and did that. Now, even in His fasting, He was what? Tempted. He was tried. So let that be a marker for you, that when you fast, Satan will try to tempt you. [00:48:14] (30 seconds)  #JesusFasted40 Download clip

See, you're not putting it around your neck. I'm fasting. I'm fasting, you know. Someone says, hey, would you like to, you want to eat this? Say you're doing a Daniel's fast, or you're doing a fasting of food. He's like, hey, you want to eat this? Your answer is like, oh, I appreciate it. But no, thank you. I'm good. Just leave it at that. You don't throw out, I'm fasting. Don't throw that out there. Because it's between you and God. [00:51:54] (22 seconds)  #KeepFastingPrivate Download clip

Fasting, what it does is it removes distractions so God's voice becomes louder. I mean, it removes those distractions. My wife, I've heard her talk about that food chatter. There's that food chatter. How many of you experience food chatter? Please, thank you. I experience it. It's one of those things. I'm watching TV, and I hear that food chatter like, you need to go eat that homemade butterfinger. And it just starts talking to me. And I'm listening to this food chatter. This is just mind chatter. It's, you fast, so God's voice becomes louder than the food chatter. It's important. [00:37:41] (44 seconds)  #SilenceFoodChatter Download clip

To seek God's direction. Number one is to seek God's direction. If you're looking for a direction, fast. Jesus explained why his disciples didn't even fast. Hold on, what? Yes, his disciples fast. But Jesus explained why his disciples didn't fast. While Jesus was on the earth, while Jesus was with his disciples, they didn't fast. Why did his disciples not fast while Jesus was with them? Because they could hear his voice. When Jesus left, and that's when Jesus said, they will resume fasting when I leave. Because when he left, they had to fast to be able to hear his voice spiritually. I said, guys, we're going to encounter things that we don't know what we're going to encounter, but we know we're supposed to go. And I want to be ready for anything that God has for us. So I'm asking y'all, I want y'all to pray and fast before we go. I didn't tell y'all how long to fast. I didn't tell you what to fast, but I asked you to fast because I didn't want to get beat up by no demon. And I knew we weren't because I knew the importance of it. Not because, you don't fast because, well, I want more strength. No, you fast because you're serious. When you get serious about it, you'll fast. Jesus was serious about his father's business. So forth, he what? He fasted. We fast to prepare spiritually. When we went to the Amazon, when my dad did it, he fasted and prepared spiritually. So you can have and hear clearly. So this morning, in this next days, and I would even ask you today, take the time to ask God to truly fix your eyes on Christ. I mean, obviously, you're already fixed on Christ because you're here. You're here because you already know the word. You're applying the word. You're doing the word. But get into that next preparation level. I'm already preparing for 2026.
