39s
“the greatest thing we can leave for our kids is it money? It's not a will. It's not land. It's not, setting them up to a career. It's not leaving them a business or getting them into a good school. It's not even setting them up for success. The greatest thing that we can leave as parents to our children is to lead them to Jesus. Teach them to love him and model it in our homes. Teach him how to follow Jesus and teach them to obey him. And we'll watch them do the same. Amen.”
50s
“We can send our kids to college. We can enroll them in all these programs. We can enroll them in all these sports. Make them study for hours. But here's the truth. At the end of the day, there's no guarantee that they're gonna become a doctor. There's no guarantee they're gonna become a lawyer. There's no guarantee that they're gonna make it in the NBA or NFL. There's no guarantees. But there is a 100% chance that one day they are going to stand before God. There is a 100% chance that they will stand before God and will have to answer to him. Church success is not everything but a life of knowing Jesus is.”
38s
“And if we answer yes to that question, then we've gotten it all wrong, church. We've gotten it all wrong, and we need to make some serious changes in our lives. Because here's the point that I'm trying to make. A life of success that is absent of Jesus is ultimately a failure. And I know that's a hard truth for us to hear as parents, But our children could, you know, become a CEO, make $6.07 figures, live in a mansion, go to the greatest school. But if they end up not knowing who Jesus is, it is ultimately a failure.”
