Death is defeated. Isn't that great? Isn't that the great news that death lost its grip, that creation released him, that humans humans just said they're not even close to the power of him. Right? Your Christian faith. Your Christian faith. Think of this. Every single one of you in here, your Christian faith hinges on this empty tomb. That's what your Christian faith hinges on. Is Jesus alive or is he a dead? Was it was it true or was it a fable? Your faith rests on this truth. Because if he's still in the tomb, if the disciples hid him, if if somehow he didn't rise from the dead, then Paul will say our faith is absolutely futile. It's worthless. It's useless. Sunday morning. You know what's gonna happen on Sunday morning. Right? You know what's gonna happen. The power of God proved mightier than creation. That stone, yeah, you couldn't hold him in. You couldn't drill a hole big enough in the earth to hold Jesus in. So creation lets him go. He's free. Not only that, but the Roman soldiers, they flee. They absolutely go. They go, we're out of here, and they flee. Man couldn't keep them. Trained warriors were afraid of what was happening, and then death is utterly defeated. Death is defeated. Why? Because it's Sunday morning church. [01:07:13] (36 seconds)  #ResurrectionSunday Download clip

The demons absolutely, they got better theology than you do. They believe in Jesus. But that doesn't mean that they're saved. Right? You can you can know every page of the bible and yet you not believe it. There's a truth. There's a difference between knowing the facts and believing the facts and believing, yeah, there was a man named Jesus. Yeah, he rose from the dead and truly believing, trusting in Jesus. See, believing means to change your life, to follow and to obey. To follow and to obey. It's more than just saying, yep, Jesus exists. What a great Easter this was. Walk out and your life has never changed because that means you never really believed. You just celebrated. [01:16:20] (44 seconds)  #BeliefNotJustKnowledge Download clip

God so loved the world that he gave his son, not to the faithful, not to the not to the kind hearted, but he gave his son to those who break the promise that they make to him. I don't know about you, but I've broken many promises to God. I've said, do this and I don't do this. I've said, I'll I'll quit that and I don't quit. I said, I'll I'll stop that and don't stop. Oh, I'll go and I don't go. And God gave his one and only son to us. The world is filled with wickedness. I don't know. Are you participating in wickedness somehow? Lying and cheating and backbiting and gossiping and slandering, and yet he gave his son for the wicked. [01:12:55] (46 seconds)  #GraceForTheWicked Download clip

In other words, God is not cold hearted. God is not calculated and callous. God is not contemptible and cruel. For God, the one who was and is and is to come, the creator, he is loving. He is not cold hearted. For God, he so loved the world. The world. The world that would hate him. The world that would reject him. The world that will refuse to acknowledge who he is. For God so loved the world. Jesus said, the world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that the world's works are evil. God loved the world, and yet the world rejected him, And yet, he gave his only begotten son to that world that rejected him. He loved the world. That is my prayer for all of us today, and it's my prayer for me that I want to know Jesus, that I want to know the power of his resurrection. And how strong was that power? The earth couldn't contain him, the stone couldn't do it, death couldn't hold him in, and the Roman soldiers were pitiful people. Right? You have the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ at your availability. Believe and obey. Believe and obey because church, he is risen. He is risen indeed. The world is filled with stiff necked, stubborn, obstinate people. People who hear a message like this and yet will walk out of here not believing, not changed because you're stiff necked, stubborn and obstinate, and yet God gave his son for you. The world is filled with rebellious, ruthless and reckless people, And yet, God gave his son for you, the world. For God so loved the world that he gave. It was a free choice for God. It wasn't one where where he he's being held at knife point by Satan and said, you've got to give me something of value. No. It was a free act. A free act of mercy and grace and love and compassion to the wicked and rebellious, stubborn, stiff necked, hard hearted, idol worshiping people. If you don't belong to a group of people, if you have not associated yourself with a group of people who love Jesus and will come alongside of you and walk with you. You can't do this on your own church. You can't do this in isolation and insulated. You must be part of a group of people who are not like you, preferably not always related to you either. Because, you know, your family will let you get away with a lot of crap, but your friends won't. Find some friends that'll hold you accountable. Being transformed changes life's direction.
