So Paul begins with this kind of reminder for the church in Corinth. When I return this third time, you will be held accountable. And it's the truth for all of us. We realize that one of two things is going to happen in our world. First, Christ is going to return. And when he returns, he's going to come to judge everybody. Or second, we're going to stop breathing here on earth and we're going to go to be judged. [00:30:00] (28 seconds)  #JudgmentIsCertain

And this judgment is not based or predicated on what we've done or what we've accomplished or how far we've gotten in life. But it's going to be based solely on our faithfulness, on our love for God, on our love for a God who sent his Son to die on our behalf. And there's really just two answers to this. And in a world today where everything is gray, there isn't really a yes and a no, but today in the text, there really is. All those found guilty will perish. All those found faithful will live. [00:30:28] (37 seconds)  #FaithfulnessOverWorks

Paul's reminder for the church in Corinth isn't a beat down. It's not desire to cause them anxiety or fear or trepidation. His reminder for the church in Corinth was maybe, just maybe, you have swayed in your following and your faithfulness. Maybe, just maybe, you've gotten so focused on yourself that you've lost sight of what God has done on your behalf. [00:32:48] (30 seconds)  #RefocusOnGod

In our weakness and saying, you know what, I'm a sinner. I'm struggling. This is difficult for me. I know I'm not living in the manner that God desires for me. That is a weakness posture. But we're also reminded in that weakness, God in his powerful way through his son Jesus Christ says, you know what? When you repent and ask forgiveness, you are forgiven. [00:33:50] (22 seconds)  #ForgivenInWeakness

Test yourselves. Are you a follower of Jesus Christ? And the way we know that is Christ in you. If he's not in you, you are not a follower of Jesus Christ and you will perish. If he's in you and you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you will live. [00:35:50] (22 seconds)  #RethinkYourPath

Am I truly living according to the word of God? Or am I pursuing after the things of this world that my flesh desires? Am I truly living and searching with kingdom eyes? Or am I looking through a lens of self, affirmation, self protection, self comfort? [00:38:03] (25 seconds)  #PowerOfTheCross

We have our own opportunity this morning to test and see, and we're going to take communion here in a minute and kind of search ourselves as we go through this and repent and ask forgiveness. But there's also a ton of people in our world that are dying around us without the knowledge and understanding that they are already separated from God by their own sinfulness. [00:39:17] (19 seconds)  #LifeInChristOnly

Heavenly Father, I thank you for these folks that are ill-equipped, just like all of us. Lord, but you do the equipping. You take a guy who has a thorn in his side and is able to do miraculous things. And you support him with a wonderful bride. Who is able to encourage him along the way and do ministries herself. [01:12:23] (26 seconds)

Lord, that we would be a church that supports. That we would be a church that comes alongside in a partnership as brothers and sisters and as family members. And Lord, that you would bless their time here in the United States. And also, Lord, as they return home. That they would be received with good news of all that you've done there while they're away. And Lord, that your ministry would just abundantly pour out into the streets and into the towns. And that they would be transformed by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And that your love would be revealed in mighty ways through the witnesses there. [01:12:51] (32 seconds)
