1. "When you read Revelation, you must read it with humility. Don't make what I would say is the biggest mistake of reading with humility. It's certainty. I don't care how much you've studied on the book. I don't care how many times you've read it. It would be a great mistake to have certainty, meaning thinking that you know exactly when and how the things that this revelation, the events, as it says, that must soon take place will happen."

4. "How is your love for Jesus and his people? How is the quality of your love for God? Not just the actions, but how is the quality? Because when you ask this about human relationships, it makes really good sense. If you go, yeah, I'm being faithful to my wife or I'm being faithful to my husband, we're still married, but then if somebody says, do you love him? Or do you have any affection for them? Do you like being around them? Do you enjoy doing things together? That tells the real story."

5. "Are you ready to remain faithful to Jesus if you had to suffer for him? Are you ready to remain faithful to Jesus if you had to die for him? And if you really think about this, dying for him may be easier than being poor for him or suffering for a long period of time for him. Because if you just die for him because you won't denounce your faith, boom, you're dead. And then you're instantly in his presence. That's reality."

6. "The more pressure that's put on you will expose the level of your commitment for Christ. And so I look around at the church in America. I look around at our church and our habits. I look at myself and my desires. And I go, I don't think we're ready. If we're being honest, this isn't judgmental. We struggle to get to church. That's not a judgment on you. That's just going, are we ready? We struggle in so many areas. Oh, I'm just so busy to read my Bible."

7. "What false teachings are you accepting in your life today? You know, most of us are smart enough to go, we're not gonna straight up accept direct false teachings against scripture like, you know, the Bible's not the word of God, or Jesus isn't the only way, the truth in life if you're a Christian. You know, we're not gonna be that obvious about it, but, but what we have to watch out for are the sneaky ones, the subtle ones, that come in the form of cultural lies that are taught as normal behavior in our society."

10. "If we overcome and guess what? I will say this, the whole new Testament and really the old Testament shows that our faith in Christ is not by works. It's, it's founded. The foundation of our faith is the work of Christ and grace. Grace sustains us when we are faithful. Grace sustains us when we fall right on our face and give in to sin. Grace sustains us, I believe when we deny his name, but that does not mean we should be lazy and not respond to the generous grace of God."
