### Summary
Good morning, Crossroads family! Today, we celebrated the incredible work of our summer interns and introduced a new ministry, Crossroads Cares, led by Earl. This ministry aims to meet the practical needs of our church and local community, embodying the love of Christ through tangible acts of service. We also prayed for our offering and the upcoming school year, asking for God's guidance and blessings.
We continued our series, "Rooted in Faithfulness," by diving into Daniel 2. This chapter is a powerful reminder of God's sovereignty and faithfulness throughout history. Daniel, an exile in Babylon, interprets King Nebuchadnezzar's dream, revealing a statue made of various metals that symbolize different kingdoms. The dream foretells the rise and fall of these kingdoms, culminating in a rock that destroys the statue and becomes a mountain, representing God's eternal kingdom.
Daniel's story teaches us how to remain faithful to God in challenging circumstances. Despite being in a foreign land with competing ideologies, Daniel and his friends stayed true to their faith. This faithfulness was rewarded as God revealed the king's dream to Daniel, demonstrating His control over history and future events.
We also reflected on the story of Eric Liddell, a Scottish Olympian who chose to honor God by not competing on a Sunday, despite the pressures to do otherwise. His faith and conviction led to an unexpected victory in a different race, illustrating how God honors our faithfulness.
The overarching message is that God is faithful in every season of life—past, present, and future. His promises are sure, and His word is true. As we face our own trials and uncertainties, we can trust in God's unchanging nature and His ultimate control over all things. This trust allows us to replace our worries and anxieties with faith, knowing that God is with us and will fulfill His promises.
