1) "And so when these young people come forward today and they submit in obedience to Jesus, they're telling you I belong to Jesus and I'm a part of this family of faith. So Miss Sarah Grace Cole would you come down here please. Sarah and her brother drove up from College Park this weekend feeling the compulsion and the obedience to be baptized. So Sarah have you come to a place in your life where you've asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior in accordance to the commandments of Christ I baptize you my little sister in the name of the Father and Son and Holy Spirit buried with Christ in baptism and raised to walk in newness of life." 2) "God blessed him. And he blessed the Lord. And thousands of people were converted all over England because of the faithfulness of one deacon. Because he went out when other people couldn't and when other people wouldn't. And he preached the word of God, and it made a difference in so many lives. We're continuing our sermon series, Amazing Grace, going through the book of Galatians. And we have camped out in Galatians 5 for the past six weeks. We've looked at the fruit of the Spirit." 3) "And you should be cultivating the fruit of the Spirit. Now, we've looked at love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and goodness. Today, we come to faithfulness. Now, there are many things in life that could be called faithful. The sun is faithful to rise and set every morning and every evening. The tide is faithful to rise and fall every day. The government is faithful to tax and spend and to tax and spend. And to tax and spend. Some more. But there is one that is more faithful than any of these combined, and that is God." 4) "And you notice that the talents were given from the master to the servants, and that should tell us something very, very significant. That we are owners of nothing. We're to be stewards of everything. And you say, wait a minute now, Jim. I got the education. I got the job. I made the money. It's mine. And we talked about this in my Wednesday night Bible study when we talked about Genesis 14 in Melchizedek, where he comes to Abraham, and Abraham gives him a tithe of everything he has." 5) "The greatest ability is dependability. God wants to depend on us. And when we use our abilities, we are to honor the Lord Jesus. It means giving 100% of our effort 100% of the time. I think one of the most tragic things that I see is a generation of young people who are told, just do enough to get by. I wasn't from that generation. I did not grow up in that generation. I was told, you be the best that you can be. It's okay to fail, but you better fail trying. And that's true." [50:24] (37 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

6) "And so this is a great lesson about learning to use our talents for the Lord and for being faithful. Either we use it, or we lose it. if Abram would not have obeyed God and left the early Chaldees, nobody would have ever heard of him. If Moses would have continued with his stalling, he would have never been used by God, to help deliver the Israelites from Egypt. All through scriptures we see people who are flawed, and who are weak, and who sin. And God sees these broken vessels and says, I can use you for my glory."
