Thank you for joining us. I know your presence is important. So make sure that you share this video with other people. Make sure you tell other people about the message that God spoke to you, because I've already practiced the message I've written, and I don't know what God's going to do, but I know that God is going to do something in your life, you can be confident of that. God provided in great ways. He provided a man who knew what to do. He provided a woman who had a phone that could help. He provided a tow truck driver that I could talk to. He provided a friend with a loaner car. God provided in many ways. This morning, we're going to look at how God has provided. We're going to look at some things. I'm calling this little quick Christmas series. I'm calling it strange births. [00:40:51] (24 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

God has provided in ways that people weren't really anticipating. I'm going to give you an example of a strange birth. A strange birth. So this happened to Chad and Barbie Soper out of Rockford, Michigan. What happened to them was absolutely astounding. You know, the odds of having a twin, just a fraternal twin, one in 23 births, for those of you... For those of you who are identical twins, Amy and Richard, 251 that you would be born identical twins. [00:41:19] (37 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

They forgot that God provided for them out of Egypt. Rescued them. Redeemed them. Gave them the land. They forgot how much and how powerful God is. They forgot how God provided. How God defeated their enemies. They forgot all of that. And they turned to idolatry. Because Israel had no king. They had no leader. They did what was right in their own. They made horrible promises that were invoked. [00:45:31] (23 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

Hannah prayed passionately to the Lord. She prayed passionately. Listen, she wept bitterly. Anguish was over her. And she made a promise to the Lord. She made a promise to the Lord. She made a promise to the Lord. She made a promise to the Lord. So she prayed passionately. She just didn't tend to, okay, God, here you go. It was heart -wrenching, soul -searching prayer. Because she was sad. She wanted God to move. [00:57:08] (29 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

Hannah prayed humbly, though. She was passionate, but she wasn't boastful. She wasn't arrogant. Lord, I demand you. She was humble. Her hands are that of a worker. Her hands are that of someone who's suffering. She says, your servant's misery. She says she felt forgotten about the Lord. She says, remember me. She says, don't forget your servant. She is humble. She is passionate. But the passion intertwined and mixed with humility. [00:58:11] (37 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

Hannah acted trustingly. When she prayed, she made a promise, an incredible promise. Can you imagine she had not had a son ever? And every year they'd go up and she still didn't have a son. Every year they'd go up and she still didn't have a son. Year after year after year. And then she said, God, you give me a son and I'm going to give him back to you. They go home. She has a son. And what does she do? She completely gives him over to God. [01:00:09] (32 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

Hannah had a story. She told her story that glorified God. Mary used that story. And she saw that beauty in her own son. And she glorified God in the middle. Three things we can learn from the story of Hannah. First of all, you need to take your issues to the Lord. Absolutely. You need to, first of all, be like Hannah. Where was she at when she was doing this? She was in the Lord's presence, with the Lord. [01:04:58] (29 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
