Zacharias was a priest they were set apart they were Levites they were part of the tribe of Levi but they were set apart from what we call the Levites weren't they because they were specially set apart descendants of Aaron who had the hereditary the genes and the connection from Aaron to be priests the hereditary Purity and dignity the priesthood came from their fathers through a bloodline.
