#FaithfulDespiteUs
“And what we're gonna see in these three chapters is incredibly good news for really messed up people like me and like you. Is that this God is faithful to his word despite us. This God is faithful to his word despite three main things we see in these characters this morning. He's faithful to his word despite our mess, despite our merit, and despite our misdeeds.”

“I I I know he promises to never leave us and never forsake us. I know he promises to make us his children, but I've got some Jacob in my present too, and I'm not sure. Maybe he'll just get annoyed and leave me. Maybe his promises are people who are a little cleaner than I am. I'm not sure I fit the mold. And yet what we see in the life of Jacob, what we see in the life of Isaac, what we see in the life of Paul is that despite our misdeeds, God is always faithful to his promises, God is always faithful to his word, and God is always faithful to use people who don't seem to belong at all in his story as a part of his redemptive purposes for the world.”
