36s
“Because Jesus is in the business of finding lost sheep, of offering forgiveness and grace. And in the midst of the murkiness of life, Jesus says, I am there. Because the church is not a place that is called to be free of conflict, but rather a place and a people where we find a way to live with each other to restore grace upon grace.”
52s
“Whenever conflict arises, Jesus says simply this, go. Go and talk. Go and listen. And then if if necessary, bring others into the conversation. But keep mercy and grace in the room. Because Jesus is in the business of finding lost sheep, of offering forgiveness and grace. And in the midst of the murkiness of life, Jesus says, I am there. Because the church is not a place that is called to be free of conflict, but rather a place and a people where we find a way to live with each other to restore grace upon grace.”
60s
“And that matters. And that matters because that means that Jesus and this whole Christian church is built not just on this, oh, what do you want to say, these facades of being perfect. Rather the church and our faith is built on grace. And so whenever though that ground feels shaky, whenever conflict arises, Jesus says simply this, go. Go and talk. Go and listen. And then if if necessary, bring others into the conversation. But keep mercy and grace in the room. Because Jesus is in the business of finding lost sheep, of offering forgiveness and grace. And in the midst of the murkiness of life, Jesus says, I am there.”
