#HeShapesUs
“Now, want you to also be aware of the fact you might be feeling like, man, that's me. I feel like I'm in the fire. I feel like I'm just getting pounded and pounded over again. I just feel like how much more of this folding can I take? You're feeling the pressure, this painful pressure, this process, and this my friends is how the blade becomes pure, becomes strong, becomes sharp, becomes useful in the hands of the master artist who crafted it in the first place. Here's the beautiful thing about God. He takes all of us the way he found us. He takes all of us. Let me phrase it this way. He takes us as we are, but he loves us so much. He doesn't leave us the way he found us. Right?”

#RefinedToReflect
“We've seen the fire. You've seen the fire in your own life so we can see the glory that God has for each of us. Now we choose to trust the father who holds us in the heat. There is a woman who is studying how goldsmiths work with with gold, and before it can take the gold and and pour it into the mold to be its shape. And she's like, how do you know when the gold is ready to pour into the mold? And the goldsmith says, oh, that's easy when I can see my reflection in it. You were made in God's image. And, yes, we're being held in the fire. But allow him to shape you and mold you into who he made you to be. God bless you all.”

#CostlyObedience
“Peter writes this letter in Rome to the scattered believers across Asia Minor under emperor Nero. Things are about to get heated up for Christians. If you don't know a lot about history, let me tell you that the emperor Nero was one of the absolute worst emperors. Horrible. Things are about to get much harder for Christians under Nero. Just a little snapshot of history for you. After the great fire of Rome, Nero was looking for someone to blame so he pointed the finger at the believers and what followed was public punishments. Some of you might be aware of them throwing Christians into the arenas with animals. Some were put on display in unimaginable ways. Suffering simply because you're a follower of Jesus. And yet through all of that, the church didn't shrink. It grew. The church grew. So persecution isn't hindering the church. The church doesn't grow by comfort, only by costly obedience.”

#KeepPressingOn
“Some of you at times in your life, you feel like, man, I am going through hell. Don't stop there. Keep going. K? When if you feel like you're going through hell, don't stop. Keep going and put your eyes on the prize. Put your eyes on Jesus because he conquered it. He'd been tempted every single way that you've been tempted. He just happened to be perfect. Why? We sang about it. We needed an unblemished lamb because the wages of sin is death. This is a rock solid reminder from Peter that Jesus never promised us ease. He promised us victory. Victory that only he can give.”
