In my sermon, I emphasized the importance of faith and the role of Jesus in our lives. I stressed that faith, as depicted in the Bible, is all about turning to Jesus, who is the author and perfector of our faith. I highlighted that Jesus is the one who fulfills all promises and that our faith should be rooted in Him, regardless of whether we see immediate benefits or not. I also pointed out that the manifestation of benefits should not be the sole reason for our faith. Instead, our faith should be a humble submission to Jesus, acknowledging His authority and supremacy in our lives.
In the second part of my sermon, I reiterated the need for humility in our faith journey. I emphasized that even when the benefits of our faith do not manifest immediately, we should not relinquish our humility. Instead, we should continue to bend our knee before Jesus, acknowledging Him as the author and perfector of our faith. I reminded the congregation that our faith is not about what we can get, but about our relationship with Jesus, who is the source of all blessings and the one who fulfills all promises.
