#StandOnTheRock
“Perseverance means not changing your stand. Perseverance means in scripture, in the New Testament, the word perseverance means I've taken a stand for Christ and Christ, the solid rock I stand, all other grounds is sinking sand. Perseverance means that I may be going through some trials, but when I go through the trials, that doesn't change who I am as a child of God. And so one word I love, I I saw the the the original meaning of this word. I was like, wow. This is beautiful.”

#TrialsAreTests
“James is establishing for us that there is something what we call testing. And that same word testing is what he used for the word trials. That as a child of God, you will be trialled by God. Not everything comes from the devil. You go through certain situations in your life, it is a trial. It's a it's a test of your faith. So you have to have in your pocket as a child of God that there are certain situations in your life that God will take you through. Is not because God is punishing you, but it's because you are going through a test. And the times of thirst produces this gift that we call perseverance.”

#PersevereInMissions
“Child of God, we are giving permission for missions. We are giving permission to persevere in our missions. Don't get tired in doing good. Don't be tired in praying for the vulnerable. Don't be tired in in in in giving to the poor. Don't be tired in speaking up for those who don't have voice. Don't be tired. In fact, this is why I I I like the Wesley movement because the Wesley movement tells us that our function should our form, I should say our structure, should follow our function, which means that the missions that we do is what should follow the structure and the systems that we put in place so we have an opportunity.”

#FaithIntoAction
“The world is our missions. The world is our mission. Child of God, the the the James is saying that if you come to church and you are inspired, it is not complete. It's only complete when you go. It's only complete as a church when we take the word and we put it into action. When we take the word and we make a difference with the word. Do I have some witness this Sunday morning?”

“One original meaning of the word perseverance is hopeful endurance. And that touched my heart. Hopeful endurance. And they put into bracket cheerful. Hopeful endurance that we endure endure in life with patience, waiting, and with hope. Hopeful and generous. Is that a good word? Hopeful and generous. Because this life can take into places unknown and life can be tough. So let's go through my slide. Perseverance in when I look at the chapter, I divide it into three parts. And the first part is perseverance or persevere in trial. So everybody understand perseverance now.”

#SteadfastAndLoyal
“There are certain English that are bible language and sometimes it's good to have them in your pocket. So perseverance is where we are going and when we say perseverance, it literally means steadfastness, unmovable, unshakable. It means consistency, constant, endurance. In the New Testament, the word perseverance is used for a human or somebody that is not swerved from the deliberate purpose from his deliberate purpose. So you have a purpose and you are not moved by your purpose because you are loyal to your faith and you are you are pious to your faith. And even at the greatest trials and suffering, they don't change their stand. That is perseverance.”

#ReflectGodsImage
“And as I was reflecting, we we learned that God created us in his image. A God image is an image of peace. And so if we see the image if we see the mirror and we see ourselves as God's image, we see God in the mirror, our life must reflect the nature of God. And the nature of God is peace, is joy, is hope, is love.”

#WordThatSaves
“But it it it shows us the power of the word. There's a reason because it's a spiritual work. When you sit down, sometimes you may be sleeping, but the word is getting into you. The word is is marinating something in you. God is putting the word in you. And when the devil shows up, that word inside of you saves you. It gives you power. It gives you grace to overcome the challenges of life. Do I have some witness this morning? Amen.”
