#LivingSacrifice
“Beloved, in view of the mercies of God, present your bodies as living sacrifices, and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Amen? Old Testament worshiper, dear saints, placed the animal completely on the altar. Now the believer, I believe is what they're saying, places him his or herself upon God's altar in order to be fully consumed by the fire of God. We place ourselves on the altar in view of the mercies of God with the objective, my brothers and sisters, of being fully burned up and fully consumed.”

#PerpetualAltarFire
“Three times it mentions concerning the burnt offering that the fire is to never go out. It is to be kept continually burning. And this was kinda something I just had not noticed before, brother Curtis. But what this is talking about when the fire is to be kept burning, it's for the consumption of the animal on the altar. I remember when I would just kinda, in passing, study about keeping the fire burning. I was assuming it was the I just in my head, I thought it was the candlestick. You had to keep oil in it. Maybe that's true too, but this is talking about the altar for the burnt offering, the altar for the sacrifice. And there's a lot of places in scripture where this comes up, but let's just keep it right here that the job of the priest was to continue to keep the flame burning on the altar so that the whole animal offered ended up in ash by morning. Everybody kinda following that? So the purpose of the fire of the offering. The purpose of the fire was the consumption of the offering.”

#NoStrangeFire
“That's probably the best definition we have of what strange fire is. It was some kind of fire that god had not commanded them to offer. And the fire came out from before the lord, and what did it do? It devoured or consumed them. It didn't just devour or consume what they had offered. See the distinction there? Let's keep reading. And they died before the lord. Then Moses said to Aaron, this is what the lord has said among those who are near me, I will be sanctified. And before all the people, I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. is quite a passage. That is a weighty passage. It's also, I think, a warning passage. We are not to put our fires in. Amen? We are not to add to God's word.”

#CrossKindledFire
“``Brothers, can I and sisters, can I put it this way? The fire only is kindled by the wood of the cross. The fire of god is only kindled by the wood of the cross. There is no other spirit. All of scripture is speaking of this Christ, the one the prophets foretold, who would be wounded for our transgressions. He would be bruised for our iniquities. This one right here who told his disciples, no. No, man. It is me. It really is me. Look at my wounds. Look here. Put your in my side, and then stop doubting. Come to me and believe. It is me, the crucified one whom god raised from the dead. Amen?”

#BurningHeartsFellowship
“many a church father has believed that this is a beautiful description of who the church the fellowship what the fellowship of the church of Jesus Christ is like. We are a bunch of people who have met Christ, not always understanding him fully, walking along the path with him by faith, him opening up the scriptures to us. And as a result, our hearts burning for the truth of Christ, the glory of Christ. Amen? Did not our hearts burn within us as he opened us the scriptures and we walk with him along the path. Of course, the scripture goes on. Of course, on the day of Pentecost, shortly after that, what happened as the early church was born, brother Vince? The spirit came, Acts chapter two, like a rushing mighty wind. But then what happened? He settled upon them. That's right, sister Lori, flaming tongues of fire upon each member of the church. The fellowship of the burning ones of the burning heart.”

#ChristFirstWorship
“Christian worship always is embracing first and leaning on most and first that Christ gave himself to us and for us. It is his grace to us. It is him being given to us. Because you know what happens? If we start with how much we must give ourselves to God, we become kinda legalistic quite frankly. And we kinda flip the script and put the cart before the horse. And, you know, we can start to think, and quite frankly, we burn out. You'll get exhausted. The kindling will cease. The fire will not continue, not the fire of god.”

#HonorGodsGifts
“Can you imagine good things that god has given? Romans one says this, it says that god has given every good gift to us but the problem is, Romans one says in our sin that though they knew god, they Romans one twenty one, they did not glorify him as god nor give him thanks. So when I take god's beautiful gifts and divorce them from him and don't give him thanks and don't acknowledge his commandments as to how to receive those gifts like Nadab and Abihu did with this fire, that was good fire. It was the same fire of god that just consumed in a glorious moment that led to the praise of god's people, the sacrifice. Now it kills Nadab and Abihu because of their idolatrous approach to it. Everybody kinda following that? So it is with us, brothers and sisters. So it is the caution we must face as well.”

#DoNotQuenchTheSpirit
“Simple question for you, what do you have to quench? Fire, don't you? When you talk about pastor Max quenching something, you're speaking about a prior flame. And he says, don't be guilty of quenching the the fire of god among you. Amen? We are to be the community of the fervent. For Christ, a community of burning hearts. This is who the church of Jesus Christ is to be, and I think that's a beautiful picture of the tongues of fire over every last one of us.”
