#GospelForAll
“And that gospel, he says, is for everyone. That's what he means by Jew and Greek. It's just a way of basically saying for everybody. There's no distinction. It's not just to a particular group group of people. It's not just for the philosophers. It's not just for the elite or the rich or the educated, whatever. It's for everybody. And so when you're onboard a sinking ship in in summary, when you're onboard a sinking ship, you don't need advice about how to become a better passenger. You need someone with the power to save you. And that is the first idea that we need to grasp. And I think that Paul is is is hinting at here. And that is that the good news is that God has done for you what you could never do for yourself. God has done for you what you could never do for yourself.”

#SeparatedBySin
“So one of the things that the Bible teaches is that our biggest problem in life is not merely that life is difficult. Now we all know life is difficult. Some of you are experiencing the difficulties of life more now than you have before. Maybe for for others of you, that difficulty is a little lighter, but we know it ebbs and flows. Greatest problem is not just that life is difficult. Our greatest problem is that our sin has separated us from God. And we stand guilty before God, heading towards death. We're we're sort of like without God, we're like a a ship that is sinking. We can rearrange the furniture on the deck, but at the end of the day, the ship is gonna be underwater and we are going to drown.”

#GraceNotWorks
“Again, that means Christianity is not primarily about becoming good enough for God. It's about receiving what Jesus has already accomplished on your behalf. Because most of us are still trying to establish our status before God. Like Luther, we think that through performance or or comparison or maybe study, we'll make ourselves pleasing to God. Like, maybe we'll reach the minimum. But over time, we we eventually drive ourselves crazy and we live under this cloud of of shame. But Jesus gives us his righteousness. We get to be in the right, not because we are in the right, but because the one who is in the right was willing to be put in the wrong for you. That is the gospel, that that Jesus put himself in your place and exchanged his status for you.”

#FinishedWorkOfChrist
“So what makes the gospel so beautiful is that it is finished. Jesus, as he hung on the cross, that's what he cried out. He says, it is finished. It is done. It has been achieved. It is and and the the rescue plan has commenced. It has been done. That's why it's news about what has been done for you, not news about what you need to do. You don't need to add anything to it. By surrendering yourself, by placing your allegiance in Christ, you inherit all that the gospel has to offer. And and and the and the part of of salvation too is not just that we receive his status, but also that we you receive the the power to live it out.”
