“``And maybe, just maybe, the greatest mission field of your life is not someday and not somewhere else. Maybe it's right where you're really going tomorrow morning. And so tomorrow, when you walk into work or step into that class, begin answering emails or talk with your neighbors. As you care for family and interact with strangers and just deal with ordinary life, please don't underestimate those moments because Monday morning was never an interruption to your spiritual life. Monday morning is your spiritual life. And that, my friends, is Monday morning faith.”

“Jesus did not come to just improve our lives. He came to transform our lives. And most people are just spiritually exhausted not because they're doing too much, but because they're divided internally. We have learned to compartmentalize our lives, and the result of that is that we become disconnected from ourselves and from God. One of the greatest sources of exhaustion for us is pretending to be whole when internally we're fragmented.”

“But what if? What if those ordinary parts of our life? What if those ordinary parts of our lives are actually the places where God wants to work most powerfully? For six weeks, we've been talking about Monday morning faith because Jesus never intended for faith to become a sun Sunday compartment. He intended for it to shape all of our life because a faith that only works at church eventually collapses under the weight of real life.”

“But the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God has always worked differently than that. In fact, Jesus spent most of his earthly life in obscurity. Thirty years of an ordinary life, carpentry, conversations, meals, relationships. And that means that God is not allergic allergic to the ordinary. He is not allergic to laundry and conversations, meetings, car rides, homework, responsibilities, and, yes, even Mondays.”
