#FaithExpressedInLove
“Freedom from the law is not freedom from love. And he gives us the heart of it in verse six, and this is sort of where we're going this morning. The only thing that matters, the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. So this is where all of that debts argument has been heading. I hope this is it blesses you today. We don't love people and stop and care for Good Samaritans in order to get into the family. We already belong to the family. We've been shown love, and so, therefore, we show others that love.”

#FreeToLoveNotToHarm
“If I've received everything as a gift and you've received everything as a gift, I don't need to look down on you. If my identity rests securely in Christ, I don't need to win every argument with you or make sure everyone recognizes my contribution. I'm free, but not free to do whatever I want and hurt you. Free to love, free to notice somebody else, free to move towards them. I'm not a slave. And that's why faith expressing itself through love is not another command added to the end of the gospel. It's what the gospel produces.”

#OrderMattersFaithThenLove
“we may think I need to try harder. I need to be more loving. I need to love my neighbor more. Perhaps God will then be pleased with me. Mhmm. But don't you see that's what Paul is be saying? No. No. No. No. No. That you'll be back to where you started. That will be another burden, another attempt to prove yourself. Paul does not say love produces faith. Paul says faith expresses itself in love. So the order matters.”
