#LighthouseDuty
“Lighthouse keepers had a very strict routine. Every single evening, they were required to trim the wick, clean the lens, check the oil, and test that everything worked just the way it was supposed to work. And so they would do that every single night, whether it was cloudy, rainy, or sunshine, you know, during the day, they will keep doing it every single time. Why? Because one night, there was a heavy storm, and the waves were crashing against the rocks, and wind was idling howling, and ships could not find their way until that lighthouse keeper turned on the beam of light and allowed the ships to see the light and come into port.”

#RepentAndRestore
“He gathered the people to fast and humble themselves before God. He proclaimed the fast so that they would come with humility and repent before God for whatever their ancestors had done. That's one thing about Ezra and Nehemiah. They did not just say, oh, well, forget it. It was their sin. We're good. We're in the clear. No. They stood before God and said, God, forgive us for the sins of our fathers. They took their sins upon themselves and asked God to forgive them.”
