#GodsOriginalVision
“and so today, as we conclude our journey through the book of Exodus, I just want us to be reminded of god's original vision. All the way back in Genesis, his the the the very big idea that that runs throughout the entire Bible and that big idea that runs throughout the Bible is that god's desire is to interact with us, his people, but not just to interact with you. It it's to be near us his people but it's not just to be near you as he was near the people in the tabernacle. Now, his original vision that he's been working in the Old Testament towards as we move into the New Testament was to be so close to his people that he would live in you. He would live in us by his holy spirit.”

#TabernacleWithin
“``Now, here's the good news for us as new covenant believers. That that because of Jesus, because of his atoning sacrifice on a cross, because our sins have been forgiven through him and his sacrifice. We actually get something better than the tabernacle because it's new covenant believers, New Testament believers, the spirit of god actually lives inside of us, his people. That the that the holy spirit of god actually takes up residence inside of us so that we become the temple or the tabernacle or the sanctuary of god. You see, where we meet is just that. It's a meeting place. But under the new covenant because of Jesus, we are the tabernacle of god.”

#GuardYourHeart
“See, the danger of idolatry is that it's the result of a wandering heart. When our hearts wander, we end up in some way guilty of idolatry. And that matters because the one thing that god wants more than anything else from all of us is our hearts. Not just part of our heart but all of our heart. And so when our hearts begin to wander, we become guilty of idolatry. As we might still acknowledge him but he's just not as important as he ought to be or as he once was.”

#WanderingHeartReality
“Now, I wish I could say that I've never been guilty of forgetting god. I wish I could say that I've never forgotten his goodness and I've never forgotten his faithfulness, that I've never forgotten his provision but if I told you that, I'd be lying. Because the truth is, I too am prone to have a wandering heart that can so easily be led astray. And so are you. We all are. It's a human problem. Like the Israelites, we too can be so quick to turn away. Like in one moment, we could be thanking god and we can be so full of gratitude to god and then seemingly in the next moment, we're complaining about the things that haven't gone our way or the things that didn't go the way we expected.”
