56s
“The people of God were no longer in exile. They could go home again, but something strange happened. Not all of them went home. Some of them stayed. Now they knew God was in the strange place and the foreign land with them. So some of God's people stayed because God was there too. I wonder what part of this story you liked best?”
37s
“And slowly, God's people began to understand understand that God was in this place God's presence came to them as they gathered to sing their songs and tell their stories and read scripture and to pray. And the king of Babylon allowed many people to work in Babylon. They could open stores, and some of them even worked for the king. Life went on.”
85s
“Sometimes God shows up in surprising places. I wonder if you've ever met God in a surprising place. One time I saw God show up when I was pushing a wheelbarrow up a hill in a land called Bosnia. Anybody else experience God in a surprising place? That was Vicky. That's an amazing story. Vicky said that she picked up someone who was hitchhiking, someone who needed a ride in a place called Los Angeles. And this person, prayed for her, and she felt like she met God in offering this person a ride and in this person.”
