#BuiltOnTheRock
“``The point is, it's the hard things that build us. We're building our house not in sinking sand, on the rock that is Christ. So in this world, we will suffer. Jesus has promised us. But suffering, it's building something. It's building you. And there won't be a wind in the world that can knock you over because you've already been knocked over by the wind of the Holy Spirit. And because Jesus, he's a really, really good rock.”

#PainShapesUs
“It's sort of what God is doing with Babylon. God isn't crass. He's not he's not, like, aloof. He's not he doesn't just kinda give up on us, but but God lets us experience pain as a sandpaper for our soul to shape us. God allows us to suffer temporarily so that we won't suffer eternally. he allows us to get a glimpse of life without him, be hurt by it so that we will run back to him.”

#PainIsPurpose
“No. It is a good God who allows us to not be lulled into a false sense of security because we're comfortable. It is a good God who allows us to go through pain as an alert of our heart to say, something's wrong with this world and something's wrong with me and I need to find the one who can help. How cruel would it be for God to let us live perfect lives and to fail to have our true need met in him.”

#NeedGodAboveAll
“Here's the thing. Often, god gives us what we need, but we don't know what we need. I I don't know what it's gonna take for us to get to the point that we actually believe. Don't just say, but actually believe that we need god more than we need air and food and water. But we do. See, Habakkuk gives us this amazing example. No matter what comes, starvation, depth, death, captivity, He says, I will worship you, God. Habakkuk shows us that our true need is God himself, and we don't think of our needs like that.”
