"Ephesians 6, verse 10. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God. That you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against cosmic powers over the present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." [00:23:25] (26 seconds)

"Therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day. And having done all to stand firm, stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth and having put on the belt of truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and as for shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace, in all circumstances, take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one." [00:23:51] (35 seconds)

"Our strength isn't in our might or our willpower, as he talked about. But it's in the Lord's strength, His strength. Be strong in the Lord. And one thing I love about this section of Scripture is that it's filled with both promises but also practical application. And as it says, be strong in the Lord, it sometimes as a Christian says, okay, great, I do desire to be strong in the Lord, but how do I actually do that, Lord?" [00:27:30] (25 seconds)

"There's an enemy who is constantly scheming against you and that enemy isn't flesh and blood, as the Scripture says. It isn't people. It's a spiritual enemy that is behind the scenes who wants to steal, kill, and destroy your faith. So take up the whole armor of God. Church, we need every piece of this, which is why we're going to be going through each and every one of these pieces of the armor throughout the series." [00:28:10] (23 seconds)

"When Paul says to fasten on the belt of truth, it's a way to say, get ready for battle. Be ready for action. And I want you to fasten on truth. So what does that actually mean? What are we actually fastening on here? What are we girding ourselves with? Because I think we can get the idea, idea of okay getting preparing for battle but what does that mean to have put on the belt of truth?" [00:31:58] (28 seconds)

"This idea that not just like who is Jesus, the truth that Jesus is a Savior that comes for sinners, the truth not just of who Jesus is though, but all that's tied up in the gospel of who Jesus also makes us to be. That's the truth of entirety of Jesus, not just who He is, but what He does to and through us to put on and fasten on the belt of truth means to fasten on Jesus, but also our new identities that the Savior gives us." [00:33:34] (29 seconds)

"Church, when we talk about the armor of God, it ties right into the fact that we are in spiritual warfare each and every single day. And one of the primary battlefields of spiritual warfare is in our heads. It's in our minds. What we think about and what we allow to live in our minds impacts how we live in a drastic way." [00:38:02] (34 seconds)

"The weapons we fight with are not weapons the world fights with, but we have a strong divine power that can demolish strongholds. That's truth. The best weapon that you can have against strongholds and lies is truth. It gives clarity of that is actually a lie or that isn't the full truth because I have the full truth." [00:40:23] (30 seconds)

"Meeting with Jesus in devotion and in prayer, we can't do that. We can't do that. We can't do that. We can't do that. We can't do that. We can't do that. We can't do that. We can't do that. In prayer life and fastening ourselves to him, it brings truth and clarity to the battles and the lies that we face every single day, not just with the lies that the world throws out there, but also the lies that we can speak about to ourselves in our own head." [00:44:42] (17 seconds)

"That's the Christian that's fastened on, that has fastened on the belt of truth. They know what they already have. It's like, I have Christ. He's all that I need. He's made me a new creation. I don't need any of that garbage or those tricks in here. None of that compares to what I've already found in my Savior. So I don't care what you're promising me over there." [00:54:49] (19 seconds)
