#RedeemedAndSetFree
“Jesus has redeemed us. That word redeemed literally means to purchase and set free by paying a price. And what it does is it is it really refers to the slave market in the ancient world where one would go and they would pay a a price, and they would purchase another person and then set them free. And that's what God has done for you and for me. And the price that was played the price that was paid was Christ's blood that was shed on the cross. That was the debt that you and I owe, and he paid it so that you and I would no longer have to be slaves to sin, but we could be set free.”

#ChosenBeforeCreation
“This is where it gets sticky here. It says he chose us, meaning that he picked you out. He picked you. He chose you. Let that sink in for a moment. Moment. How many of you like to be chosen for something really, really good? Yeah. Like, growing up, you're playing backyard football. Like, you wanna be chosen. You don't wanna be the last one picked. God chose you. But then what does it say? Before the, what, foundation of the world. You could also translate before the creation of the world. So how awesome is this? Before the world was created, God knew you, and he chose you to be part of his forever family. That's a really incredible thought.”

#SpiritualNotMaterial
“And notice these are spiritual blessings, not material. And so often we get that confused, we think that if things are not going well in our life, if we don't have our health, if we don't have our our finances in order, if our kids are not behaving themselves, then we're not blessed. But that God's not talking about material blessings. He's talking about spiritual blessings, and these spiritual blessings are unchanging.”

#AdoptedIntoGodsFamily
“So here we see that god doesn't just choose us and say, okay. You sit over there in the corner now that I've chosen you. You're part of my people, but you just stay over there. He's actually adopted us into his family so that we are sons and daughters of the most high. Isn't that incredible? Like, some of you like, you grew up in families that nobody really wants to be a part of. Like, you have parents that disappeared or maybe abused or you had, maybe mothers that were distant or absent. But here, god has said, I'm bringing you into a better family, one that is going to last for all eternity, and it's my family. I'm giving you my name.”

#AdoptionCancelsDebt
“And it's really cool when you when you look at history and you see, this idea of adoption in the ancient world. When a person was adopted, they were then given all of the legitimate rights of the parents, meaning that in the eyes of the law, an adopted son was a new person. In fact, so much so that if they had, debts or other obligations, those were all canceled. They're gone as if they had never existed. And that's exactly what God does for you and me. When he brings us into his family, by the way, we owe him a debt. He brings us into his family and then he cancels that debt that we owe him. He says, you are my son, and you're my daughter. You're part of my family. It's incredible.”

#RedeemedAndForgiven
“Or maybe, you look at what Christ has done for us. He's redeemed us. He's purchased us. He's forgiven us. Some of you, you've lived a lot of life with shame and with guilt. And today, your praise might be, God, thank you for saving a messed up person like me, that you can still redeem my life, that though I've tried to mess it up every way possible, you have a way of making it all turn out for good. Thank you, God, for redeeming me. Thank you for forgiving me.”

#AllMeansAllBlessings
“What does that word every mean? Every. It means every. Yeah. Not a trick question there. It means every. It means not that God has given us some spiritual blessings, not that he's given us a little bit just to get us by. This this is available to all believers. I don't have any more access to God's blessings than you have. And the key for us is when we feel like we're lacking in the spiritual blessings is we have to press into our relationship with Christ because it's all there. It's all available. It's really just a matter of, are you pressing in to know Jesus? Are you spending the time in his word, the time in worship, the time in prayer, the time in fellowship with other believers to be able to access all that god has for you?”

#SealedByTheSpirit
“Or maybe today, you've just struggled. Am I saved? Am I not saved? I really know if I'm saved. How do I know if I'm saved? And the Holy Spirit has sealed us. The Holy Spirit lives inside you. You know, your faith is real. That you belong to Christ. That he is he is keeping you, keeping the enemy away from you from being tampered with. And you say thank you. Thank you, God, for doing all of this for me. Thank you that I belong to you, and I don't have to doubt anymore. I know that my faith is secure in Jesus Christ.”
