The Bible, the theme of the Bible is to tell us, of what God has done in order to deliver us. Of which salvation? Of which deliverance? Of which redemption? Those are the terms that are used. Man, as he is by nature, born into this world, is a creature who needs to be delivered. [00:18:11]
Christianity, my dear friend, is not a philosophy. It isn't. It's not a teaching. It includes that. But it's not merely that. Do you know what Christianity is? Essentially, it is this. It is the report. It is the record of what God has done in time and in history, in events of history, for us and for our salvation. That is Christianity.
