Therefore since we have this ministry as we have received Mercy we do not lose heart but we have renounced the hidden things of Shame not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to Every Man's conscience in the sight of God. [00:01:04]

Paul preached his gospel honestly when he says not deceitfully it's a verb that means to dilute or adulterate Paul says listen I didn't preach a concealed gospel I didn't preach a corrupted gospel or I didn't mix the message with human Ingenuity or a watered down accommodation to the audience Paul's saying I preached you an honest gospel. [00:03:51]

Friends those who are perishing those who are The Lost those For Whom The Gospel is veiled have been blinded by Satan who is the God of this age now let me explain something to you here very important for us to consider in this it does not mean that the Lost are innocent victims of Satan's blinding work. [00:11:00]

Paul says I want to tell you that when I preach that gospel I do not preach myself that's what Paul would tell us you know when Paul climbed into the pulpit or stood before an audience it was not to preach himself he wasn't important he was not the focus Jesus was so Paul could strongly say we do not preach ourselves. [00:19:10]

Paul considered himself a servant to the Corinthian Christians for Jesus's sake not for his own sake or not even for the sake of the Corinthian Christian you see because if Paul's concern for serving the Corinthian Christians if he was doing it for the sake of himself or if he was doing it for the sake of the Corinthians themselves it wouldn't last. [00:23:47]

But we have this treasure in Earth and vessels that the Excellency of the power may be of God and not of us you know what God did with this great treasure he put it in a very humble container I mean this treasure the treasure is the greatness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ it's The Treasure of the glory of God made evident through that gospel. [00:30:12]

We are hard pressed on every side yet not crushed we're perplexed but not in despair we're persecuted but not forsaken struck down but not destroyed always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus that the life of Jes Jesus Also may be manifested in our body for we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus's sake. [00:36:11]

Paul says I know the power and the Victory of Jesus in my life because I'm continually in situations where only the power and victory of Jesus will meet my need you know when we talk about this today I could stand before you today and say oh W is mean let me tell you about my life brother oh I'm hardpressed I'm perplexed I'm persecuted. [00:38:20]

For our light Affliction which is but for a moment is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of Glory while we do not look at the things which are seen But at the things which are not seen for the things which are seen are temporary but the things which are not seen are Eternal you see that in verse 17 for our light affliction. [00:51:01]

Paul is saying that all Affliction automatically produces glory in us no way my friends don't you you wish it was so don't you wish that there was just something automatic in suffering that produced Glory no my friends it's possible that the suffering you're going through right now isn't going to build any glory in you instead it's going to make you miserable. [00:58:18]

God has things to work in our lives that can only be accomplished through affli and it's not that God loves to see us squirm that he loves to see us like Jesus the Bible says that Jesus learned obedience by the things which he suffered if that was a fit tool to use in the life of the Son of God the fit tool to use in our life. [00:59:55]

We need to be able to be able to sa with Paul our light Affliction and to be able to sa with him I'm going to set my eyes on the things I can't see instead of things that are right in front of my face let's pray and ask the Lord to do that father uh it's such a big order it's such a a high glorious ground that we've been on lord.
