Devotional
Day 1: Love the Lord Your God
We must have a deep, rooted passion for the Lord that is so authentic that it becomes the reality of our lives. This love for God should be so strong that it surpasses the worldly influences around us. We must own this love to pass it on to the next generation. [54:34]
Deuteronomy 11:1 - "Love the Lord your God and always keep his mandate and his statutes, ordinances and commands."
Reflection: How can you demonstrate your love for God in a way that influences those around you?
Day 2: God as the Creator
God is the Creator of the universe and the basis of all truth. In a world that often denies His existence, we must stand firm in our belief and teach our children that God is the Creator and sustainer of the universe. [01:10:44]
Genesis 1:1 - "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
Reflection: How can you incorporate the truth of God as the Creator into your daily conversations?
Day 3: God's Provision
Everything we have comes from the Lord. We didn't choose our DNA, our parents, or our skills and abilities. God created all of that in us. We must recognize and be grateful for God's provision in our lives. [01:05:02]
James 1:17 - "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
Reflection: What are some specific ways you have seen God's provision in your life recently?
Day 4: Living for God's Glory
The whole point of life is to give our lives to Jesus and find out what He wants to do with it. There is no joy or fulfillment outside of this. We must live as God's people for His glory. [01:23:30]
1 Corinthians 10:31 - "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
Reflection: How can you live for God's glory in your daily tasks and interactions?
Day 5: Training the Next Generation
We must train our children to be missionaries and warriors for Christ. If we don't anchor them in the truth of God's word and His plan for their lives, we risk losing them to the world. [01:24:12]
Proverbs 22:6 - "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."
Reflection: What are some practical ways you can train your children in the ways of the Lord?
