### Quotes for Outreach

1. "See we've been talking about the world. We've been talking about culture. It's easy for us to get frantic and frazzled. But the reality is we, as disciples, we, as followers of Jesus, we, as people of God, have a really awesome mandate by God. And it's not to be afraid of culture. It's not to run from culture. In reality, our call is to transform, to change, and to create culture. You want to know why you all are so gifted? Because we're called to use those things to transform, to change, and create culture that glorifies God." [56:11](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)

2. "You're going to look different. You're going to talk different. You're going to walk different. You're going to act different. You will be different. The word that God has given us through Jesus Christ changes and transforms who we are. It sanctifies us. It makes us holy. And it sets us apart. We're not of the world. We're not of the world. But many times we have this idea, we have this thought, that because we're not of it and that we remove ourselves so far away from it, we have no idea what's going on. But I'm here to tell you, that's not the prayer of Jesus." [44:22](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)

3. "I do not just pray for them alone. When he says them alone, he's talking about the disciples who are physically present with him. Jesus in this high priestly prayer in John chapter 17 is praying for his disciples. And then as we read down, he says, 'I do not pray for these alone,' meaning those that are physically there with him in body, the twelve, and then the many that follow after. He says, 'But also for those who will believe in me through their word.' If you're in this room and you believe in Jesus Christ through the word of God that was preached to you by someone who also is a believer who was saved through the preaching of God's word, you're one of these people." 4. "College is going to actually be like really a good time. Alright, I was like, I'll make sure they know it's going to be fun. You're going to have some great times. You're going to have some great memories. But I also want you to know and to understand that as you work to be transformed by Jesus and you stand firm, it won't always be easy. And that is okay. Jesus knows. Jesus tells us and he prays for us and he talks to us about it and he says persevere." [49:50](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)

5. "And everything that we do, everything that has breath, let it praise the Lord. And aren't you glad that we get to praise the Lord who never fails? Aren't you glad we get to praise and worship a God that we know we can trust? I trust in God, my Savior, who never, ever, ever, ever, ever fails. Ever, ever fails." ### Quotes for Members

1. "Be connected to God's word. Jesus has brought it and he's given it to us. Be connected to God's word. Change and transformation is found there. Truth is found there. Sanctification is found there. Friends, over here, not that this is a divided service, it's not, but you know, it's just easier that way. Be connected to God's word. Be connected to God's word because it leads to sanctification. Because it's the source of truth. Because it teaches us the way to honor God in heart, soul, mind, and strength." 2. "God's people. Be connected to God's people. Why? Because accountability is found there. And on this journey of sanctification, on this journey of changing and transforming and creating culture, we are going to need accountability. Along with accountability, encouragement is found there. And we are called to encourage and to love and to build up one another. That is crucial and essential for the task that lies ahead for us. And along with those things, growth is found there. These two things cannot be separated. They go together." [59:30](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)

3. "Discipleship is not a 12-step process that we walk through or we try to walk someone else through to get them to behave a certain way. In reality, discipleship is that you, your life, would look and reflect Jesus to the point that anybody that you bring along with you begins to look and act and talk like Jesus. That's what having a disciple and being a disciple is. Your life imitates and reflects Christ and is transformed like we were talking about right here. Transformed by God's word to the point that when you step into the world, people take notice and anybody that follows along with you begins to look more like Him." 4. "The temptation is to live and act and look like the world. But Jesus himself asked for God's protection over those who have been changed. And our presence in the world as believers is the call of Jesus. It's to live a life transformed by God's word to the point that we become a light to the world." 5. "Jesus says, 'I don't want you to take them out of the world. I want you to protect them from the evil one. I want you to protect them from temptation. I want you to protect them from the enemy.' Why? Why does he pray that we're not taken out? Because we have been transformed. It is exactly because we're not of the world that we must be in the world. Because we have been transformed. Because we look different. Because we act different. Because we've been made holy. Because we've been made right with Jesus."
