Empowered Through Prayer: Strengthening Our Spiritual Connection

1. "Prayer restores power. Prayer restores spiritual strength. Paul said, renew my inner man. Strengthen my inner man. But how? Prayer. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. It's a process. It's daily contact with God that renews, renews our strength. Here's what God has to say about this. You all know Isaiah 40. Let me read this to you. Verse 28, Has thou not known, has thou not heard, that the everlasting God the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding. "Prayerlessness is a disease and prayerlessness like I said yesterday began in the garden when Adam hid from the Lord not in the Lord because hiding in God is prayer hiding from God is prayerlessness so there he was hiding from the Lord because he sinned so sin is the prayerlessness problem the fall of man brought about prayerlessness now we can we can we can defeat prayerlessness in our life we can we can be healed from the from this deadly disease if we pray but it's our decision to get in there it's our decision to say to to the flesh you're gonna you're gonna obey me I'm gonna pray because Paul the apostle said in first Corinthians 9 27, he said, but I keep under my body, and I bring it into subjection, lest after I have preached to others, I myself be a castaway." "Every time you pray you gain strength against the enemy and every day you do not pray he will gain strength against you and you get weak and you slow down it says in Isaiah 40 it says they that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength mount up with wings as eagles meaning your discernment is back now in the spirit mount up with wings as eagles means you're up in the higher places of the earth where the where the winds are strong the part of God is strong and it says they shall run so in the higher places of the of the earth the places of praise and worship where prayer can take you into now you're able to run and catch up with God they shall run and then they will walk in the spirit we run before we walk not in the flesh in the spirit you always have to run before you walk in the spirit you are running to catch up because see prayerlessness slows you down prayerlessness takes you back prayerlessness puts you in the back row where Amalek can get you because in the Old Testament it talks about Amalek killing the Israelites who were in the back those who could not follow the cloud were killed by Amalek well you and I have to stay under the cloud by prayer it's prayer that keeps you under the cloud in the right place with God that's why I said they'll run they'll catch up with where God is and now they'll walk means their fellowship is restored and fellowship with God is powerful because fellowship with God is that continual prayer and as you are praying daily you are exhaling the spirit of God and you are exhaling the spirit of God and you are exhaling the spirit of God and you are exhaling the spirit of God and you are exhaling the spirit of God and you are exhaling the flesh and inhaling the Holy exhaling the flesh and inhaling the Holy exhaling the flesh and inhaling the Holy Spirit I'll say it again every time you Spirit I'll say it again every time you pray you do to the to the flesh and to pray you do to the to the flesh and to pray you do to the to the flesh and to the Holy Spirit so you're exhaling the the Holy Spirit so you're exhaling the flesh inhaling the Holy Ghost every time flesh inhaling the Holy Ghost every time flesh inhaling the Holy Ghost every time you pray it takes two weeks of that you pray it takes two weeks of that you pray it takes two weeks of that before your battery is fully charged to before your battery is fully charged to Let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me, and he shall make peace with me. 4. "The three realms of prayer. We begin, and let's, by the way, go to Matthew, because I want to show you this. This is really powerful. The Lord said that we are to begin by asking. This is the asking realm, the asking world. This is where we know what we need, you know, salvation for our loved ones, help and healing and so on. So we're reading now Matthew 7, verse 7, ask, it shall be given you. Seek, you will find. Knock, it shall be opened. These are the three realms of prayer. We begin with the asking world. This is where we enter in, like in the old covenant, Moses built the tabernacle that had three sections to it. It had the outer court, holy place, holy of holies. In the outer court, it had the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the tabernacle was the altar of sacrifice and the labor. This is the place where we make our requests that we know about. we make our requests to the Lord and come and say, Father, here's my prayer list, and we make our requests. But also that is the place where the enemy can attack us and harass us, and our minds wander, and we get tired and want to, you know, say amen and leave." 5. "When you knock, you're in the spirit. You're in the realm of the spirit. Now you're walking in the spirit and something happens. The minute you begin to walk in the spirit, the flesh is dead. It says walk in the spirit and you'll not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Instantly as you're in that third realm. And that happens, by the way, it'll take you probably an hour, an hour and a half. I've never known it to come quicker than that. So you got to spend time. This is the key. This is the price. This is the price you will have to pay. This is the price we all have to pay. Nobody can walk into the presence of the Lord in five minutes. That's impossible because there is a plan. 6. "When you are into the holy of holies silence prevails now be still and know I am God Psalm 46 you enter into that place for now God God is talking to you right now rather than you talking to him. And this is where your strength is now restored with power and beauty. And suddenly everything is right. And in that place, something begins to happen. In Ezekiel, this is really, really powerful. Ezekiel 22. Now this is where, and I must say, not many Christians get in there because so many of us say amen way before God is ready for us. We say amen and leave. Some say amen and leave in the outer court. Some say amen and leave in the holy place. Okay, at least they accomplished something because now they're seeking." "Agreement is possible only when you become one with him in the holy of holies and when you're in there suddenly everything is restored you become an overcomer you become an overcomer you become an overcomer prayer and overcomers you cannot overcome without prayer do you remember in Romans 8 26 27 it talks about the Holy Spirit helping our infirmities causing us to come into the place of perfect prayer in the spirit the next thing we read it says we are more than overcomers well you cannot be an overcomer unless you begin with prayer and in overcomers Revelation 2 26 it talks about the same thing that over overcomers Overcoming is the result of prayer. Power is restored only in prayer. Adam lost the power of God when he stopped praying. Remember that? God gave him all power, all dominion. How did he lose it? He lost it when he hid from God.
