Empowered Healing Through Unconditional Love and Joy
Summary
Victory Christian Fellowship is on a mission to bring healing to broken hearts and lives, restore relationships and families, and reconcile people to God. This mission is deeply rooted in the belief that God has called us to be a beacon of hope and healing in Hamilton, Texas. Our mission statement is not just words; it is a divine mandate that guides our actions and purpose as a church family.
In Acts 10:38, we learn about Jesus of Nazareth, who was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power, going about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. This scripture serves as a foundation for our mission. Jesus' ability to heal and do good was because God was with Him, and we, too, have the Holy Spirit within us, empowering us to continue His work. The enemy seeks to oppress and isolate us, but we are called to bring hope and healing to those who feel hopeless and broken.
The presence of God brings joy, and a joyful heart is like good medicine. The enemy tries to keep us broken and joyless, but the joy of the Lord is our strength. We are reminded that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Our mission is to be vessels of God's unconditional love, bringing healing to those who are hurting.
Unconditional love is the key to healing broken hearts and lives. Just as God loves us without condition, we are called to love others in the same way. This love is not based on what others can do for us but is given freely, expecting nothing in return. It is a love that heals and restores, allowing people to experience the love of God and, in turn, become vessels of His love to others.
As a church, we are committed to being a family that loves and supports one another. We are here to minister healing to our community, to be a place where people can find refuge and strength in the presence of God. Our mission is to be the Holy Spirit center of Texas, a place where God's love and healing power are experienced in a tangible way.

Day 1: Empowered by the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit empowers believers to continue the work of Jesus, bringing healing and restoration to those in need. Just as Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and went about doing good, we too are called to be vessels of God's love and power. The presence of the Holy Spirit within us is a reminder that we are not alone in our mission to bring hope to the hopeless. We are equipped to overcome the enemy's attempts to oppress and isolate us, and to bring healing to broken hearts and lives. [05:06]
Acts 1:8 (ESV): "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Reflection: In what ways can you rely on the Holy Spirit's power to bring healing and hope to someone in your life today?
Day 2: The Joy of the Lord
The joy that comes from God's presence is a powerful antidote to the enemy's attempts to oppress and isolate us. A joyful heart acts as good medicine, providing strength to overcome life's challenges. When we embrace the joy of the Lord, we find the strength to face difficulties with hope and resilience. This joy is not dependent on our circumstances but is rooted in the assurance of God's love and presence with us. [07:42]
Nehemiah 8:10 (ESV): "Then he said to them, 'Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.'"
Reflection: How can you cultivate a joyful heart today, even in the midst of challenges, and share that joy with others?
Day 3: God's Nearness to the Brokenhearted
God is especially close to those who are brokenhearted and crushed in spirit. In times of deep pain and sorrow, we can find comfort in knowing that God is near, ready to heal and restore us with His love. His presence offers solace and strength, reminding us that we are never alone in our struggles. As we experience God's nearness, we are also called to extend His love and comfort to others who are hurting. [12:36]
Psalm 34:18 (ESV): "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."
Reflection: Who in your life is experiencing brokenness, and how can you be a tangible expression of God's nearness to them today?
Day 4: Unconditional Love Heals
True healing comes from experiencing and sharing God's unconditional love. This love is given freely, without expecting anything in return, and has the power to heal broken hearts and lives. As we receive God's love, we are transformed and empowered to extend that same love to others, bringing restoration and reconciliation. Unconditional love is a reflection of God's character and is the key to healing and wholeness. [17:54]
1 John 4:18-19 (ESV): "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us."
Reflection: Is there someone you find difficult to love unconditionally? How can you begin to show them God's love without expecting anything in return?
Day 5: A Mission of Healing and Restoration
Victory Christian Fellowship is committed to being a place of healing and restoration, where God's love is experienced in a tangible way. As a church family, we are called to minister healing to our community, being vessels of God's love and bringing hope to those in need. This mission is not just a statement but a divine mandate that guides our actions and purpose. We are called to be a beacon of hope and healing, reflecting God's love to the world around us. [25:43]
Isaiah 61:1 (ESV): "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound."

Quotes
Victory Christian Fellowship is here to bring healing to those that are oppressed, to those that are broken, have broken hearts and broken lives. That's what we're here for. Remember last week we talked about Jesus said, you know, these works that I do, because he was talking about all the miracles that he had done, you know, he healed the oppressed. [00:04:18] (22 seconds)
So he sent the Holy Spirit to be in us. Now, I don't know if that blows your ever-loving mind like it does me, but I cannot comprehend the creator of the universe put his personal presence inside of me. He made me his temple. There was a building in Jerusalem at one point that that was where his presence was. [00:05:20] (24 seconds)
We talk about that God, I quoted the scripture while I was praying a while ago, in your presence is fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore. Listen, that scripture just is like mind-boggling too. In his presence is joy. And see, in Proverbs it says, a joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. [00:08:00] (28 seconds)
The Lord is near, Psalm 34, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. If you don't feel God, if you feel broken, if you feel brokenhearted, be encouraged because it says God is near to those that are brokenhearted. He's not far away. He's not someplace off judging you and thinking. He's near to you. [00:09:57] (30 seconds)
He cares not only for our physical body, not only for our spirit, but he cares for our soul. He cares for how we feel. He cares for how you feel. He is touched with the feelings, and it says of your infirmities, that doesn't necessarily just mean your sickness. It means what's bugging you, he's touched by that. [00:11:53] (20 seconds)
Love without condition. This is how broken hearts and lives are healed. I'm going to show you some slides. October 17, 1994. This baby was born. Marcus Lowe Hooper. That's, I think he was 19 months old there. That's Oliver's dad. Just in case y'all didn't know. [00:15:59] (22 seconds)
This is the love of God. The agape, the word in Greek is agape. It is a love without condition. It is a non-reciprocal love. In other words, you don't have to expect anything. In fact, it's love if you don't expect anything. If you can give love to someone that you know cannot return it, that's true love. [00:22:42] (23 seconds)
But see, we are to minister God's love. If we can express God's love to them unconditionally, then they can meet the God of love. And once they meet the God of love, love, then he can let them show love. Because we've got to love them before they can be lovable. [00:26:04] (24 seconds)
This is how God wants us to heal broken hearts and lives in this community, is to love people. Is to love people unconditionally. To love them. We have y'all filtering, you know that when I get quiet. Filtering. We have in our family those that that are struggling. Those that that the enemy is fighting so hard. [00:33:54] (35 seconds)
And that's probably all of us but but I'm here to tell you that God says he wants us to he wants us to prove that we love them by just loving them. Listen, I'm here to tell you when you express love with conditions, if you just love somebody because of who they are or just because what they can do for you or what you think what it's gonna benefit you somehow. [00:34:31] (28 seconds)
And so when I came here as interim, notice the air quotes, interim, God said, just minister healing to them. They just need healing and encourage them and tell them who you are in Christ. And then when I decided I couldn't leave here, that's tough for y'all. Sorry. I ain't leaving. [00:38:22] (25 seconds)
