Day 2: Understanding Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual warfare is not about fear but about recognizing that we have an enemy and standing firm in the victory Christ has already won for us. It involves knowing who the enemy is and who he is not, and equipping ourselves with God's truth. Many people misunderstand spiritual warfare, seeing it as a battle to be fought in fear. However, the truth is that the victory has already been secured through Christ. Our role is to stand firm, equipped with the knowledge of God's truth, and to recognize the enemy's tactics. By understanding spiritual warfare, we can live confidently, knowing that we are not fighting for victory but from a place of victory. [46:15]

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil." (Ephesians 6:10-11, ESV)

Through prayer, worship, and engagement with the Word, we receive the strength we need to face life's challenges. This divine strength is not something we can generate on our own; it is a gift from God that empowers us to live out our faith boldly. By prioritizing time in God's presence, we can draw on His strength daily. [17:05]

The enemy cannot withstand the power of God's Word, and we are called to share it fearlessly. This mission involves bringing light into dark places and sharing the love of Christ with those who are far from God. By advancing the gospel boldly, we fulfill our calling to be ambassadors of Christ in the world. [40:55]

Thirteen and a half years ago, I resisted God's call to pastor, believing my path was solely as an evangelist. Yet, God had a different plan, and here we are, blessed by the community and the revelations that come from sharing His word. This year promises to be even more fruitful as we embark on new projects, like our building initiative, which is set to begin on January 1st. This vision is not just about physical structures but about creating spaces that foster community and spiritual growth.

A key insight from a recent men's encounter was the transformative power of setting goals. A dream with a date becomes a goal, a goal broken down becomes a plan, and a plan with action becomes reality. This principle is guiding our efforts as we prepare for the future, including creating a welcoming outdoor space for fellowship.

We are in a harvest generation, witnessing thousands of young people turning to Christ. Our mission at AAHC is to reach the unchurched, those far from God, and those who have drifted away, while also nurturing those who are steadfast in their faith. This requires a shift in our approach, crafting messages that resonate with everyone, regardless of their spiritual journey.

Today's teaching focused on spiritual warfare, a topic often misunderstood or avoided. We explored what the Bible says about it, emphasizing that we have an enemy, but we also have victory through Christ. Spiritual warfare is not about fear but about standing firm in the victory Jesus secured for us on the cross. We are called to be strong in the Lord, not through our own efforts but by receiving His strength through prayer, worship, and the Word.
