And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the record goes on to tell us some of the other results also of this prayer that was offered by the early Church in that way and manner. [00:19:36]

The early apostles were ignorant and unlearned men, that means that they were just fishermen most of them are something like that they belong to that class no philosophers amongst them no Pharisees amongst them no leared men amongst them at all the most ordinary men that you can imagine without any particular ability or training as far as one can see. [00:05:22]

The only explanation of Christianity is this that it is Supernatural that it is miraculous that it is the action of the Living God amongst men that's the very basis of the Christian faith that's the thing that brings the church into being and that accounts for everything that's happened now this is of course a most vital distinction. [00:13:43]

Christianity my friends is trinitarian through and through that sounds strange doesn't with it but the way you differentiate between Christianity and every other religion or every other cult or anything that pretends to be Christian and the true thing is is it or is it not trinitarian. [00:27:17]

The apostles' faith is based upon objective happenings and events God doing something in a series of Mighty events now you see I'm compelled to do this for this reason that that is the very emphasis that we get here in these early chapters of the book of The Acts of the Apostles. [00:41:12]

The day of Pentecost is of vital importance in Christian preaching the day of Pentecost is one of these great acts of God the day of Pentecost has its importance as the Incarnation has it and the death has it as the resurrection has it as the Ascension has it it is equally important. [00:51:22]

The Holy Spirit and he alone who is the author of the Holy Scriptures it is the word of God and he's the agent in inspiration and this of course comes out particularly in the question of Prophecy now the Apostle Peter this same men writing his Second Epistle his last letter to the churches. [00:34:43]

The Holy Spirit's work is evident in both ordinary and extraordinary ways, as seen in historical revivals and personal transformations. This ongoing activity of the Spirit assures us that God is still at work in the world, bringing renewal and revival to His people. [00:51:22]

The apostles' confidence was rooted in the historical reality of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, as well as the fulfillment of prophecy and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This dual emphasis on history and experience is crucial for understanding and living out the Christian faith. [00:41:12]

The transformative power of the Holy Spirit is available to all who believe, enabling them to live boldly and confidently in the truth of the gospel. This is not merely subjective; it is equally objective, and the subjective arises out of the objective. [00:51:22]

The essence of Christianity is not found in human institutions or intellectual debates but in the dynamic, transformative power of God. The early church's boldness and effectiveness were not due to their own abilities but to the action of God through His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. [00:13:43]

The early church's prayer led to a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit, demonstrating that true Christian boldness and effectiveness come from divine empowerment, not human effort. This reminds us that prayer is not just a ritual but a means of accessing God's supernatural power. [00:03:22]
