And not just that, it's powerful in our marriages, it's powerful in our workplaces. We need this thing in our life if we're going to thrive because God's will for our life is that we would thrive in every area of our life and there's power in this and so I'm going to share it with you today. [01:15:00]

The meaning of dwell is to live in or at a specified place. See, I believe that God has called us all to be in a certain place. I want to ask you today, do you have a sense that you are called to this church? Do you have a sense in your heart that you are called to Rockhampton for a purpose? [01:16:05]

See, when we dwell in one place, we start to bear fruit. When we choose to dwell in one place, doesn't matter what comes against us, we can thrive through it. There's this tree and it's the oldest tree. It can live. It can live the longest out of any tree and it lives to the year of 5,000 years old. [01:17:04]

It's called the Great Basin Bristlecone Pine. Now, it's old. 5,000, that's old. And it's old because it actually stays in one place through every season. This tree actually grows in harsh conditions. And they say that in seasons when it's especially harsh, they don't even grow. [01:17:29]

And I think that's a great image for us that we need to, regardless of the conditions we're in and the season that we're in, we need to grow. We need to stay planted. We need to choose to dwell in one place. And what that causes us to do is we actually become stronger and we create, and our capacity enlarges and we grow because we choose. [01:18:11]

In our marriages, when things get hard and they get a little bit too tough on us, do we choose to go, you know what, this is too hard, I'm out. Now, I'm not talking about abuse, that's a different story. But you know, just the ups and downs of life and we go through these hardships and we go, you know what, maybe this isn't meant to be. [01:19:47]

And so, you know what, it's not all about me, it's about other people, it's about my wife, it's about my husband, it's not what can I get out of it. All of a sudden, what can be created there is something that will impact generations to come. In my life, I've missed out on everything I've gone for the first time. [01:20:48]

Because sometimes things come and you're not quite ready, but it's God's timing. So, I took it. And I just want to encourage you today. Don't jump places and go places because something looks better. Stay planted and allow God to grow you. Stay in a marriage. Stay in a workplace. [01:24:23]

See, that's the important thing that if we come together and lift up the name of Jesus, if we stay together, if we stay in proximity to each other, there's power in that. I love the story of Paul and Silas in prison. It's one of my favorite stories. And Paul and Silas are in prison for telling people about Jesus. [01:25:11]

And the Bible says that at midday, together, they started to worship God. And all of a sudden, this earthquake came and it shook the place. And the prison doors came open and the chains broke off. But not just on them, all of that took place for all the other prisoners that were in the jail with them. [01:26:15]

In order to gather together we've got to be willing to deal with some stuff in our life we've got to forgive and allow God to help us deal with some of the things where someone might have hurt us in the past and that can stop us from going and going to a life group or connecting in and out of our lives. [01:28:24]

When we become offended and we start to get in on that goat track and come in behind, it causes so much problems for unity in our world. It actually takes the blessing. And so, as we come to a close, I've got 10 minutes to just share the rest of this part. [01:30:15]
