Sermon Summary

Sermon Clips

"You have forgotten the rock who can hide you when life gets hard. Often times we forget that we have Jesus, we have the rock who can hide us. Don't forget the rock, we've forgotten the rock, they had forgotten The Rock, Rock, The Rock of their salvation. Don't take your eyes off the rock, don't run away from the rock, move toward the rock, don't forget the rock, don't have amnesia."

"Some of you feel like you're different because you are, you ever feel that way? You ever feel unique? Like if you've got a bunch of brothers and sisters and they're all kind of the same but you're just a little bit different, or maybe I'm an only child, maybe you've got a friend group and in your friend group they all seem to kind of wear the same thing and talk the same way, but like you're there's just something unique and different about you. It's okay to be that way, some of us, it's physical, but if you're a stray Olive, it's spiritual, there's a difference. God created you to be different, the four-letter Bible word is Holy, but it's okay, just say that you're different, you're a stray Olive."

"God does not need us but God invites us to join him on the Journey of this thing we call life that as we're living and breathing and walking If You're Not Dead God's not done with you yet he's got something for you and I believe he's got something for you today that some of you may feel like God May never use me just hang on all right just hang on because God has set you apart for a special work he has created all of us like masterpieces In His Image to do a work through us all right that's what we're going to talk about a little bit this morning"

"There have been a lot of Olives that have left that have gone out that have come in they've sat in these seats they've sang the songs they've raised their hand they may have even gotten dunked in some water but there was no life change there was there was nothing different in their lives because their heart was never given to Jesus and they're not with us anymore."

"God will always forgive you until the end of your life or he comes back, but don't put it off cuz you don't know when you'll breathe your last breath or Jesus will return."

"The Bible says that without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sins... Jesus was perfect so he became what the Bible calls the lamb slain before the foundation of time... he shed his blood so you don't have to because if you die for your sins guess what happens you dead you die and you go to a place that was not created for you, it's a place called hell that will be thrown into a lake of fire."

"Jesus came to pay the penalty and that debt for you and all we do is place our faith and trust in Jesus when you do that you become a stray Olive... God rolls with a Remnant... there have been thousands of people who have sat in this church before this building was built and in this building thousands of people have come through these doors... some of those people who have sat here they're a part of the remnant they're stray olives as well."

"So often the church begins to look more like the world that the people of God begin to look more like the world than they do the word and it happens over and over and over again."

"The Bible says that while Jesus was in The Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives in the oil press that his Spirit was so vexed as he hit his knees and he prayed that prayer to God that his sweat was mixed with blood and fell like great drops of Blood on the ground his blood was shed his oil was squeezed out of him and yes Jesus died so that you don't have to stray olives."

"There will be stray olives who will be the next worship Pastor there will be stray olives who will be the next teaching Pastor there will be stray olives who will be the next deacons the next Sunday school teachers the next whatever you name it there's a lot of stray olives in this room."
