1) "So when you are truly, truly free, it will free areas. It will free areas of your soul. It will free areas of your life. It will bring freedom in relationships. But the moment you give up on truth, you begin to forfeit freedoms that God has for your life. He said, you'll know the truth. And the truth will set you free. He didn't say any truth. He didn't say some truth. He said the truth. And he is the absolute truth. When we follow Jesus, we are following God. We are following the truth."

2) "All of us are broken. All of us today have some defects in our lives. Nobody's perfect. Anybody perfect in this room? I don't think so. Every relationship has some brokenness. Our weather is broken. Our economy is broken. Our nation is broken. Everything about us is broken. In fact, the Bible says this in Ecclesiastics 720. There is not a single person, and all the earth, who is always good and never sins. Everybody sins. There is no perfect person."

3) "We will never live sinless as long as we live on this planet. But we can sin less. Right? God wants to help us to sin less. We'll never be sinless, but we can get to a place where we're sinning less. And it's possible in that process that God will help us deal with our defects and deal with all of our faults. And so today I'm going to talk about the truth. The truth will cause change."

4) "Why is it so hard to change? Anybody find that change is easy? Change is always hard. Change is difficult. And I'm going to talk about Ephesians chapter 4 in just a moment as to why or how we can get to a place of change. But I want to talk about a few issues today, some practical issues. If you're writing or taking notes, I really want you to write this down because it can help you down the road. Of why it's so hard to change. Why is it so hard to make some changes in our life?"

5) "Your faults and your sins are not who you are. They may have been something you've done. They may be something that you're doing. But they're not yours. They're not who you are. You might talk to someone and they say, Well, I work a lot. I'm a workaholic. So they identify because they work so much. Now they call themselves, their identity is I'm a workaholic. Or you may be a person that is slow to make decisions or you procrastinate. But now you call yourself lazy. I'm just lazy."

6) "The reason why you can't talk like a butterfly is because you're still a caterpillar. You haven't learned. You haven't grown. You haven't developed. We have to make some changes in our lives. And so you can take it down. This is the last point. I have four more, but I won't finish them. So I'll finish them Wednesday. So if you want to hear the rest, come Wednesday night, okay? Number two. Way to get you back. Anyway. No, I'm sorry. I can't do it. I got too much stuff here."

7) "Change requires making choices. You've got to make a choice. Turn to your neighbor and say, make a choice. Now, I'm talking about good choices, obviously, not bad choices, right? But what I'm saying, it's not enough to want to change. It's not enough to desire to change. It's not enough to dream about changing. Dreams are worthless unless you wake up and begin to act on them. You're not going to change until what? You choose to change."

8) "There is no growth and development in your life without change. There is no growth. You're never going to develop. You're never going to be what God wants you to be unless you're willing to change and you have to be willing to let go of something old and get a hold of something new. Change is my friend. And it's like the old illustration of the trapeze artist. Have you ever seen them in the circus where they jump from one trapeze to another one and basically they have to let go of that trapeze and get a hold of the new one?"

9) "As you become a new believer, God gives you a new power. It's not willpower. It's what? Holy Ghost power. Hallelujah. And so the power of God helps you change. Now let me give you an example here because changing some habits in our lives and we have to make some decisions, but there's some things we have to realize here when we're making some changes."

10) "The working out is our part. The working in is God's part. I don't want you to misunderstand what I'm saying. It says work out your salvation. It doesn't say work for your salvation. We don't earn our salvation. We don't buy our salvation. Salvation is the free gift of God. Ephesians 2, 8, 9, for by grace you're saved, not of ourselves. It is the gift of God. Not of work, lest anyone should boast or brag. So in other words, you can't work your way to heaven. We understand that. We're not earning our way to heaven."
