The Bible We Believe here at Vu Church in the whole thing all 66 books and we believe if you read your Bible it will change your life all 66 books give you a picture into the character of who our God is but there are four books that are historical accounts to Jesus's life and they're called the gospels. Anybody know the gospels? Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. If you add up all the chapters in those gospels you get 89 chapters. Jesus our savior he lived 33 years on this life in an all 89 chapters there's only five chapters on the first 30 years of Jesus's life. [00:37:48]

That means there's 84 chapters on the last three and a half years of Jesus's life but listen to this 29 of those chapters are on the last week of Jesus's life. That means 33 percent of what we read about Jesus is on passion week. How many of you can believe then past week must be pretty important? So if today starts passion week we want to make sure that we're not just preaching about something random we want to make sure that we're preaching about this week that Jesus thinks it's so important that we have our eyes on. [00:82:74]

The reason that car is important for me, the reason cars are important for you is because it gets us to the place that we need to go. Everybody said amen. We get confused we think cars are just to flex on our haters they're actually just modes of transportation. Gets us to where you need to go and I guess I would suppose this week on the start of passion week of the gospels are written about this week that our heart and our soul should be moving somewhere. [01:77:18]

This is not the week Christ follower to wake up tomorrow and think this week is like any other week. This is not the week Christ follower to walk into Sunday service and think this service is going to be like any other service. Come on this is the time to raise our hope to raise our expectation to raise our faith to raise our gratitude to remember what Christ has actually done on the cross for each and every one of us. The problem is the enemy wants to steal your mode of transportation. [01:84:56]

The last thing the enemy wants is for you to have a real encounter with God this week that advances your relationship with him. This week the enemy wants to steal your focus, this week the enemy wants to steal your attention, this week the enemy wants to steal your faith, this week the enemy wants to steal your expectation but I came to declare at 12 p.m in the sitting location that it will not happen. Come on we have an expectation that this week God's gonna move today God's Gonna Move tomorrow God's Gonna Move Good Friday. [01:89:12]

This is important to fix our eyes on Jesus this week. I know Works crazy fix your eyes on Jesus. I know you're busy with your family fix your eyes on Jesus. I know we got a lot of events coming on fix your eyes on Jesus in fact can I go further the reason that we have events is to help you fix your eyes on Jesus. It's not for the sake of gathering it so all of us can have an encounter with the Living God. [01:98:50]

The thing about Victory formation is they were excited about one Victory but how many of you know God had something even better in mind than they did. They were excited about getting out from under the oppression but God said I got something even more for you victory was going to look different. A victory was going to look different and I'm excited about Good Friday to think about the the crucifixion of Jesus. I'm excited about Easter Sunday to talk about the resurrection but how many of you know we can learn from we can learn from Passion week. [02:36:50]

We can learn from Palm Sunday and there's some truths that I think that we need to learn today that's going to put us in Victory formation. Today it's our time as the Church of Jesus Christ to get in Victory formation. Tap your neighbor on both sides say Get Ready Get Ready Get Ready that's what we have to do we have to get ready. The first thing that we have to understand in order to get ready and get our hearts in Victory formation is understand this basic truth that he chooses you. [02:70:82]

He chooses you today no matter what the world is saying no matter what your family is saying no matter what your spouse is saying no matter what your school is saying he chooses you the thing about our Jesus is that our God is a god of timing anybody ever been praying for something and you're coming to a friend and you're like hey I'm really praying for this and they're like Lord I pray in your timing you're like dude shut up. I just said to pray it happens tomorrow you know what I mean like it's like a curse word it's like no my time not his time. [02:98:10]

But how many of you guys can attest that like a good thing at the wrong time is a bad thing and Jesus coming in at this time was God's timing because it was the Passover celebration what is the Passover well it was a story of the faithfulness of God to the Israelites hundreds of years before see the Israelite people at one time they were in 400 activity to the Egyptian people 400 it's not just a bad day it's not just a bad week this is not a bad year this is Generations in captivity. [02:104:46]

The thing about the Israelites in this time man is they were ready for a savior you know what they were in whenever Jesus entered into Jerusalem that day they were in their Victory formation say what do you mean by that well dude they were like they had a parade through the streets this isn't like the good old days on Miami Heat used to win World Championship Dakota it's messed up parades on each side right people cheering giving praise this was a custom for the Roman people this is the under the rule that the Israelites were at that time. [02:58:92]

And when they would have these parades if you will these processionals it was because maybe a new King was anointed or if they had just won a battle if they had just had a victory somebody say victory if a battle had just been won and the generals in the Army were coming through a town they were going to give them honor they were going to give them praise they were going to encourage them for what they had just done so guess what the Israelites are sick of this Roman rule so what did they do they hear messiah's coming.
